corr for SFs, ITFs

Hi All,

I like playing support and was wondering what pri/secondaries would be useful for ITF and villain SFs (from cap SF to LRSF). I don't like hero side much, so not likely to do TFs there.

So, if you were team leader and you can pick any type of corr you want, what would you pick and why?
For example, ITF:
-pri x/second y for debuff AV
-pri n/second m for cyst mission
... etc

Thanks!

For primaries in just the number sense I'd go sonic/ or dark/.

Sonic attacks softens targets, dark blast makes them hold still and connect less. Pistols' -damage debuff is also good for av's on chem rounds, as they don't resist the -damage.

...or you can go archery/Fire blast for better mob damage.

For secondaries /cold has some nice shields and debuffs. /Dark has excellent debuffs, good control, and good healing. /Radiation softens big targets into the ground.

That's for sf's in general. For the ITF, /cold is monsterous as it can greatly reduce the healing of the healing nictus along with its usual skills.

Honestly, if you're bringing a Corr, you're basically golden on any SF team. You are either bringing protection (buffs/defenses) or you're bringing debuffs to tear down the large mob sizes, or to soften up the AVs. There's really, AFAIK, no reason a "solo-friendly" secondary isn't going to contribute signficantly on a team. As far as primary goes, it's really just a matter of what color you want your damage to come in.

As long as you know your powersets, and your playstyle is compatible with your team, you can really bring any sort of corr into a SF team.

You should read Silas's guides for all corruptor secondaries. They're great.

Thanks all for the feedback! I'll look at the corr guides too, and I don't mind playing a particular power set especially if it helps the team. I've been on a few ITFs where the leader saves a spot for a rad corr specifically or a corr with shield buffs. Same with RSF where the leader won't start until he has the corrs he wanted.
