Cathedral of Pain
What's the key to winning this thing? We had 24 people all of which had shivans, HVAS, and full sets of nukes. I've read all of the guides and I've tried everything. Last night was my 5th consecutive weekly attempt and fail. We had at least 3 debuffers on each team. The way we tried last night was to drop our temps between shield drops. First round shivans and HVAS, second round bio nukes, etc... The most we were able to damage him was about 20%. Should we just unload everything on him as soon as his shields go down the first time and try to get him all in one shot?

The problem is, the AV is currently bugged. It should NOT be able to attack from within it's shield the way it is. This is causing what can be an insurmountable obstacle since coping with the huge spawns AND an AV who can attack with complete impunity can be somewhat overwhelming.
Bring more Corruptors.

And if you get the Storm AV just wait out the timer and try again.

Thanks for all the helpful insight guys. I'm gonna stick with the decision I made last night and wait until I have all my incarnate powers before I make another go at it.

Positron posted awhile back that the whole system is going to trickle out a lil bit in each new issue...

Yeah I don't think it's necessary to avoid it until you're all Incarnated (did I just make that a verb?), especially since the trial was made with the intent that you shouldn't need Incarnate slots/abilities/mojo/voodoo to complete it.
It does, however, take decent recruiting, timing, and leadership to pull off. Not really something to tackle by spamming "Hey if you want to do CoP come on over", you'll just get frustrated. It's more of a "If you want to take this thing seriously, bring your A game and we'll take care of business" thing.
I like that it's not a sure-win every time (I'm looking at you, beloved Hami Raids of old). We need to get taken down a few notches sometimes, don't want to get too big for the game's britches. (Though un-bugging the trial would be nice, too)

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.
Remember, the nukes have a limit on how many targets they affect... so don't pull your pets out until after your nukes... You don't want your pets stealing nuke yumminess from the players.
We went in rounds...
- First round: first person of each team used their nukes, then everyone pulled out the pets.
- Second round: second person of each team used nukes, then everyone pulls out pets..
- Third round:... well, the plan was to continue in the same vein, but we ended up throwing everything at him and brought him down fairly quickly.
