Power Set Idea: Toxic Assault (Dominator Secondary)
Not being invested in Dominators, the only thing I can say here is: Sure, why not? Give it another damage component to catch SOME defence somewhere and you're set.

My only reservation would be that it gets an extra AOE rather than the more usual cone. But then again so does Earth Assault.

-Get rid of the slow option in secret venom and replace it with -regen. This would be MUCH more useful in big fights, while kinda pointless in everyday combat, since the bigger critters tend to be the ones you need to cut regen down on, not the smaller ones.
-I'd actually get rid of Sharpen in exchange for Power Boost. It's much less useful, I think, for a dominator, especially when this set only has 3 melee attacks (you've got two powers that aren't attacks at all.) Power Boost would help with the effectiveness of your unique "swap ammo" style power and also help with dominator's weaker mag primaries.
Overall, great idea though, and would fit really well in the Dominator camp.

Agreed with replacing the -recharge with -regen. -Regen tends to be an effect Toxic attacks can grant as well in CoV.
While not saying +dmg isn't nice, I know many Doms who were THRILLED that Earth assault included Power boost, and will take an Ice assault over, say, thorns, specifically because it offers power boost. The +secondary affect is really nice on a dom, and would stack much better with the swap ammo power.
That being said, maybe they could make it a power build up clone, giving a boost to all three.

Maybe take a Fiery Assault direction with it except it won't copy the damage types of that set and do a combo of Toxic/Fire damage. I think the set should be about melting your foes into puddles...kinda like Magellan.
Funny, Magellan actually has control over how potent his poisons are too. He can produce tear gas, ichy spray or a contagious corrosive toxic ocean that can melt anything away.

Poison Assault will do slightly less damage than most Dominator powersets, but makes up for this by being mostly Toxic damage as well as having special venom effects.
1: Spit Poison - Ranged Minor DoT (Toxic), Venom Effect
You spit poison at a distant enemy. Uses Sonic attack animation.
2: Venom Claw - Melee Moderate DMG (Lethal/Toxic), Venom Effect
A quick swipe with a claw, delivering poison on impact. Uses Claws Swipe animation.
4: Toxic Spray - Cone Moderate DoT (Toxic), Venom Effect
A close, wide-angle spray of poison into a group of enemies. Uses Fire Breath animation.
10: Secrete Venom: Venom Effect
Choose between -DMG, -Regen or extra toxic DoT to be applied to all attacks. Default effect is -Def.
16: Power Boost: Self +DMG, +Venom Effects
You concentrate for a few seconds, greatly increasing the amount of damage you do as well as improving the effects of your secreted venom. Additionally, your effects such as Holds and Immobilizes are slightly improved.
20: Gouge - Melee High DMG (Lethal), Foe -Tohit, -Per, Disorient (50% Chance)
Claw at an enemy's eyes, leaving them blinded and possibly disoriented. Uses Spines Impaler animation.
28: Fend Off - Melee Superior DMG (Lethal/Toxic), Venom Effect
A wide-angled strike to slash at all enemies in front of you. Uses Spines Ripper animation.
35: Poison Bomb - AoE Moderate DoT (Toxic), Venom Effect
Spit poison into a canister, then throw it into a group of enemies. Uses grenade throwing animation.
38: Toxic Fog - PbAoE Superior DoT (Toxic), Foe Hold (50% chance)
Breathe out a deadly toxic fog that deals heavy damage. All who pass through will have a chance of choking uncontrollably. Uses Fire Breath animation.
