Fire/TA, what kind of farmer will that be?

Hi,

So, I've been thinking of making a corruptor for GR, and thought that fire/TA actually might be an interesting combo. Now, as I know that fire is THE Farming set, I would like to know which powers to take from each set, as I am rather new to both sets.

Flash Arrow, Glue Arrow, Disruption Arrow, Acid Arrow, Oil Slick.

Fire Blast, Fire Ball, Rain of Fire, Aim, Blaze, Fire Breath*

This could actually be a pretty decent farmer with the reliable -tohit from Flash Arrow along with a fair amount of defense. And of course the slows, -res, and Oil Slick will pair nicely with RoF to wipe mobs fairly quickly.

*Some don't like Fire Breath. Those people are crazy in my opinion. It does a ton of damage.

Agree about Fire Breath, is an awesome power. Was also thinking of Blazing Bolt and Inferno, but that's because I like the powers

I'm thinking of getting mace mastery, and have actually made a scratch build with capped defense.

Fire/TA would make an awesome farmer.

Make sure you go Mace Mastery to softcap S/L with Scorpion Shield and take the AoE immobilize. Glue Arrow alone won't cut it for stopping enemies when they start to RUN AWAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!

Not very experienced with TA, but I would not take the snipe unless you really want it. Chances are you will be in the middle of everything that is going on dropping AoEs and will not get it off. I would take combat jumping for +defense and you can put a LotG recharge IO in there.

On a side note, with the build you posted you are going to have major endurance issues IMO, your net gain is pretty low. If you can maybe put a mirical +recovery in one of your health slots. It is going to be hard to get your end usage down with those toggles though, my /cold has leadership and has horrible end drain but heatloss saves her.
