Time To Give The Old Shiny A New Shiny

I've been perusing around these posts and reading everyones reaction to how cool Praetoria looks with all the new and colorful buildings and stuff. At how Praetoria looks so much "crisper" than anything blue or red side. In fact, some people almost don't want to leave Praetoria just yet in order to soak up more of its shininess, myself included. .

This brings up the next question for the CoX dev's. What will they do next to blue and red side now that we tasted the golden apple pie? The biggest thing I noticed was how the buildings in Praetoria look like buildings, not cardboard cutouts that repeat themselves over and over again as in blue and red side. Praetoria has more detail in the environment which I believe gives it more of that "crisper" look to it.

Now, I am not a computer programmer or game designer so to change buildings and environments might be a big task? That is why I would suggest to do it in sections. For example, maybe take one zone at a time and revamp that environment, buildings trees you name it, all of it. Until that zone is complete, people will be routed elsewhere for missions or contacts that were in that zone. Maybe in 2004 NCSoft didn't have all the bells and whistles at their disposal. It is now 2010. Technology has advanced and as Captain Pickard from the Star Ship Enterprise would say, Make it so!

im sure something will happen, but you really should have just posted in one of the other threads about it that are still on this same page rather then making a new thread.

The thing about computers, is that the devs can have a non-released version of a zone that they can work on while we play on the live version of the zone. So if they were to re-work a zone(and in fact have reworked zones in the past) there would be no need to reroute us anywhere. The when the zone is ready, everyone downloads a new patch, and poof! zone is differnt.

Jay Doherty: Yes, there was this one night that I was ready to go home but had to drop the browns off at the super bowl before I left for home. While on the throne it hit me. I stayed for a few more hours and that why we have the pain pads in the game.

What is up fellow Phoenix dweller! I agree that Praetoria was a mixed blessing for the Devs, because while almost everybody can agree that it's gorgeous and they all did excellent jobs, now we all want the rest of Paragon and the Isles to have that level of quality in it, which means more work for them.

Noble Savage has stated at least once or twice that he'd like to rework some of the zones or buildings. Not that it'll definitely happen, just that he'd like it to.

Hmmm okay, I did think this was the Suggestions and Ideas sections right? And this "is" a suggestion or idea....hmmmm okay...lol.

I sort of look at this as being exposed to something good, then having to revert back to something not as good, still okay but graphically not as good. It's sort of like if your favorite food was pizza. You go a whole day without eating anything and then you go out with friends to a popular pizza joint that night. Your table orders an extra large with everything on it. Everyone grabs a slice and there are still five more slices left, you want them, all of them....lol. Cravings for chocolate sweets, something salty maybe? I tasted the golden pie and I want more pie!...heh,,heh.
