Unresponsive Minons

Hi, new player. I have a low level MM. Sometimes I'll go into a zone or a mission and my minions will stay at the spot we ported in at. They won't follow me or respond to commands. When I try to dismiss them they won't even dismiss. I can't summon new ones as they are still there.

Nothing else in the world is bugged. I can still interact with NPCS, see other people moving around.

Is this a problem only I am facing or have other people experienced anything similar?

Having current minions wouldn't prevent you from summoning new ones. It would auto-dismiss the new ones and resummon.

I suspect you're actually experiencing network lag, not a problem with your minions.

Unless they're hit with a bug that's been around for a bit - they don't auto-dismiss. And you can't order them to dismiss, either. I tend to have to zone a few times (in/out of the mission,) eventually I can dismiss and resummon some pets that will follow me.

I've seen that bug a few times, but it didn't stop me from resummoning. It just turns the existing pets neutral, but allows you to summon new ones like normal.

You can get rid of your current batch of non-responsive henchmen with: /releasepets
It works with any kind of summoned pets.


Teams are the number one killer of soloists.

Wasn't for me. Tried releasing, they just stood there (they were neutral coming in, IIRC, but still showed in the pet window - figure that one out.) Resummons failed, as the pets were still there.

(And as far as the text command - will have to try it whenever it happens again, my normal pet dismiss bind is lctrl+decimal petcom_all Dismiss.)

I ran into a bug like this when I first went to PI after turning Rogue. Pets would zone with me but then stand around and do nothing. When dismissed, they would make the appropriate sound and speech bubble for being dismissed, but would still just stand there. When resummoned, nothing happened. I only fixed it by logging off and back on. I assumed at the time it was a bug related to switching from v-side to hero side.

Sometimes re-buffing them also fixes them.

I doubt that, since I switched my demon MM to Hero side last week, and she's never experienced this bug.

Switching sides seems to have a few other bugs though. For example, my level 25 demon MM did the level 20 missions for a cape and for a costume slot at level 20 and then after switching did them again hero side at level 24, and then she turned in the halloween event salvage for another slot, so now she's level 25 with FOUR costume slots. I wonder what will happen when she hits 40 and tries to do the Icon extra slot mission for a sixth slot.

This happened to me too most frequently when using Oro portal and well before I18. The only way I ever got the pets back the way they belong was to restart.

The re-buffing thing only worked for me when they were following me and attacking, but non-responsive to commands - basically acting like uncontrolled pets. It doesn't seem to work when they are frozen in place and don't do anything.

When that happens, I always logged and just played a different character. The /release thing might be a good idea, I never thought to try that after getting the pets killed still wouldn't get rid of them.

Neko - with the exception of Veats, part of GR included them locking us down to five costumes, as I recall. They kept the unalterable sixth for VEATS.

Well, yeah, I know that. That's why I'm wondering what will happen when I get to 40 because then I should get a mission for a 6th slot. At the pace I'm on now, I'll get my 5th slot at 30. The game should have known when I switched sides that I already did the level 20 mission for a slot and not offered it to me hero-side too, but it did. So I'm calling it a bug, since the game should be smart enough to see I already have the level 20 slot.
