Best Scrapper PvE DPS
Why Blasters? Empathy Sucks.
So, you want to be Mental?
What the hell? Let's buff defenders.
Tactics are for those who do not have a big enough hammer. Wisdom is knowing how big your hammer is.
You could look at the Rikti Pylon thread for a list of some individuals' single target damage, which, although variable because of the RNG, can give you a good idea of what's what. I think it's also worth noting that the three highest listed non-shield secondaries in that thread are dual blades, claws, and katana. Pair those with the new /fa, and we'll have to see what people come up with (though trying to survive with /fa and any of those other than kat can be a challenge).

Videos of Other Stupid Scrapper Tricks
Ya, at the moment I'm trying to figure out how to make a survivable kat/fire with only one application of divine avalanche (general play), but I'm thinking I'll just have to stick with /electric. Don't think I'd ever attempt a pylon with the former.

Unfortunately, even the best DPS set ups on paper don't always have the ability to actually defeat a Pylon before it defeats you. I would have to wonder how good a /fire scrapper could ever be and still stay alive.
Let's just hope that when the full Incarnate system goes live, we won't need to make as many DPS sacrifices to keep up our survivability.
Briefly, a bunch of the Incarnate options showed up on the regular (not GR beta) test server while GR was still in beta. It included things that were not on the beta server even when the Incarnate system was being tested there.
Hopefully obviously, anything seen there should be considered wildly subject to change. I don't know how wise it would be to discuss what was there in detail, but I will say that very little of it was directly about improving survival. There were definitely some things there that would make our DPS subculture in here salivate big-time.

Well, so far I've seen almost nothing that is about survival out of the incarnate posts. shifting levels is a tad about survival, but more accuracy and damage really. Alpha Slot damage and recharge buffs? And from what I've seen surprisingly large buff numbers too.
My memory is worthless so I wont quote anything but I remember thinking "wow that looks broken, I hope the numbers get smaller before going live".

Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.
