I'd like to make a thugs/dark build but no clue how to get it started. And I don't much on thugs/dark builds here on the forums.

There's no mystery to anything /dark. Take everything in the set, except Black Hole (yes, even Howling Twilight, yes, even if you plan to solo).

Level 1: Call Thugs
Level 6: First upgrade
Level 12: Call Enforcers
Level 18: Gang War
Level 26: Bruiser
Level 32: Second upgrade

At the other levels, you take powers in /dark if there's a new one or pools* if not.

*In lieu of a pool power you can take one of the attacks from the MM primary. I wouldn't, but I'm an extremist.

It's also nice, while leveling, to take one or two pistol attacks for yourself. Adds damage at low levels while you only have a few pets. This speeds killing speed and leveling, and gives you something to do as well.

Later you can respec out of the personal attacks if you don't need them. I've found starting around level 24 is a good time to consider this.

Though brophog02 gave you some links. So you know sometimes people appreciate it more if you post a build for others to critique. It makes people feel like your trying to do your part and give others an idea of what your interested in.

I could lay out a defense cap build for you, but if you don't even know what defense cap is or the whole purpose behind the build. You won't have a clue why certain powers were picked over others. Or how to run the build persay.

I made builds that I liked when I first started, but then after so many years I decided to read up on this Defense Cap so many talk about. I became a Defense Cap born again zealot. All my builds lean in that direction now.

So with that all said posting a build and having someone tweak or give you a direction to go to will make you understand a bit about the game mechanics, which are important if you want to last and be useful and honestly enjoy the game a bit more.

Your build doesn't look soft-capped outside of powerboost?

I'm impressed though that you can slot 4 PVP IO's into Scorp Shield (the Shield Wall set ... those would likely bankrupt me).

I like my build

I want my build something like how I made it except I want it softcapped which is difficult to do. It was my first try and making a build for a mastermind.
