zone colors change based on con

The zone areas currently show up as green, yellow or red. I suggest a better way would be to have them show up as whatever range cons to you. IE even level white, plus minus one blue plus one yellow etc. That way you can get a better idea what you will face.

Jay Doherty: Yes, there was this one night that I was ready to go home but had to drop the browns off at the super bowl before I left for home. While on the throne it hit me. I stayed for a few more hours and that why we have the pain pads in the game.

The neighborhood zone areas on the map?

But, critters within those areas can vary from each other, often in one spawn next to the other, so how would that work?

They vary, but usually withing a small range. We already have the neighborhoods setup per difficulty. IE The mobs in the red areas are higher than those in the green. What I am proposing is that the colors instead of being a fixed color just change in relation to our level. base it on the mean or average range of the mobs in that area.

I see. Thank you for the clarification.
I suppose it would make things a little more consistant, fitting in with the existing "Con" system of the mobs themselves, and consistancy is a good thing, usually.

The only downside is that the neighborhoods would look more homogenous than they really are, but it's not like the Green/yellow/Red is incredibly informative either.

Unless you use a 3rd party map or know the zone level range the green yellow red can be mostly meaningless. Since they keep updating the UI to make it more informative and useful I think a dynamic can range border ont he maps would make perfect sense.

Isn't the zone-range border part of the map graphic itself? If they did implement some system to make those borders con based on your level, they'd have to redo the map-graphic to get rid of the old ones.

Then again, it would be nice to have some high-definition maps, they get awfully low in quality as you zoom into them, which is necessary if you have a lot of amenites in one small area.

This was my initial concern, then the second was the programming effort to make them dynamic.
