and by returns, they mean on scene, maybe a line and altogether in a single episode. except for Kristen Kreuk, who will get a seven episode deal to come in and frak up the whole thing. 
I have this horrible feeling that it's gonna end up being everyone but Lex returning.

I want the last scene of Smallville to be Clark walking down the street, seeing a crime...ducking into a telephone booth...starting to unbutton his shirt...then Lana pops out of nowhere, does some magic, superspy karate stuff and stops the crime, then winks at clark. Clark grins back at her goofily as they play a Lifehouse song...series ends.
