First Knockout Blow, then Clobber, now Cobra Strike! Is Freezing Touch next?
As far as freezing touch goes, I can't say I see it getting the same treatment, since it already has a pretty great damage part to it. To me it was always seemed like a damaging move with a nice hold along for the ride.
Looking at it quick, Freezing Touch already is one of the heavier ST attacks in Ice, thought it is a DoT. I could see it getting lower recharge or higher damage if people could make the case to Castle, but you might see the hold duration lowered for that (which is what happened with Clobber's stun).
I would definitely hope it doesn't get the exact same setup as Cobra Strike, as I am a bit dismayed that Cobra Strike no longer has a 100% chance for a stun (75% if the numbers I'm seeing are right). Used to be you could use it along with Eagle's Claw and know you had a boss out of it. No more. Guess the damage is seen as a good enough of a tradeoff, but I'll miss it.

I highly doubt Freezing Touch will get that treatment, because it was already done to Frozen Aura.
I am the Blaster, I have filled the role of Tank, Controller and Defender

Maybe they could do it for EM-Stun.
Be well, people of CoH.
Single-target damage isn't really where EM's lacking, though. Heck, EM's the only set where the Bruising power won't be the weakest attack.

I would rather see it get the midnight grasp change. Higher up front damage with lower dot.

Air Superiority does more damage, has a lower recharge and uses less endurance than Stun. Unlike Stun, Air Sup works on bosses and anyone that is affected by Air Sup isn't going to wander out of Invincibility, RttC or AoC.
Besides, EM could really benefit from having a high damage attack that animates in less time than it takes me to make a sandwich.
So as you may have heard, Cobra Strike in Martial arts is now a melee attack with a stun secondary rather than a stun power with a pittance of damage. This is the third, to my knowledge, melee set control power that has had a major buff to damage in an underperforming set. Naturally, seeing this pattern, I had to wonder: will Freezing Touch be the next melee control option to get this treatment? What do you think, Tankers?
