The Avengers to Start Filming in February

Yeah Hawkeye is kinda lame , but Renner is a good actor and hopefully they give Hawkeye more to do than just shoot arrows and stay in the background .
Or they go the Ultimates Hawkeye route and make him pretty cool, which they have sort of gone for a lot of these in some way. Well okay I thought he was cool, but he also was a marksman with any weapon and pretty bad$%^ in hand-to-hand combat. Plus I thought Renner was great in The Hurt Locker and if he brings that daredevil attitude to Hawkeye then I am definitely on board.
edit - Also I do beleive he wasn't limited to a bow and arrows which would make him more relevant in today's age of superhero movies...

Otherwise... a boxing glove arrow against Dr. Doom is about as laughable as I can get.

Seems like the Marvel Ultimate Hawkeye is more of an badass, after his Wife and Kids Died During the God and Monster Ultimate's Comic, Now Hawkeye is in all Black Gear and use Daul Guns and other Weapons beside of an Arrow and a Bow in the Ultimate Avenger Stuff.
It seems like The Movie is following Marvel Ultimate Story more then the old School Stuff.

Hrm. Ultimate Hawkeye is a bad Bullseye ripoff, what with the killing people with fingernails and whatnot.
Hawkeye has been a part of the Avengers for a long time, no need to cut him short.

BUT Hawkeye's first appearance was in 1964 and Bullseye not until 1976 so not sure hwo ripped off who there.... (Unless of course you just mean the Ultimates Hawkeye and not Hawkeye in general)

Directed by Joss Whedon, the anticipated film stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson.
The February start is just a few months after Sony's untitled Spider-Man reboot gets underway this December. Both films are expected to shoot in Los Angeles.
