Now i've aquired a new copy of CoH deluxe and thought "great! i can get the badge and the cossie parts on my account!"

Its brand new, never been opened til today and i go to put the code into my account like i did when i put the CoV collectors code in.....only this time it's telling me to make a new account *sigh* I'm an EU player and its an EU copy of the game so it isn't that.

Any ideas folks? I've sent an email to support but i doubt i'll get an answer over the weekend.

you might want to read that page again, it isn't.

CoH Deluxe was the EU release of City of Heroes unlocking the EU servers.

If you already HAVE an account that uses the EU servers, you likely cannot apply the code to your account and it can only be used to create a completely new account.

you might wana check yourself (wiki doesn't have all the details)...it IS the EU version of the collectors, hell here better link for ya.

You can't use the "CoH Collectors" in the EU as its US only so deluxe was made for us EU players (otherwise how else would we get the badge/capes/sprint?)

Actually it is. I'm holding a copy of it right now that I accidentally bought off ebay once. It includes the prestige cape, and prestige power sprint, vip/destined one badge.

Friends don't let friends buy an ncsoft controlled project.

yes, i wasn't logged in. as stated in my OP i've put in the CoV collectors edition with no problem so i know what i'm doing Just wish support would answer my ticket already but then i know its the weekend so i'll just have to wait

Right. Was just trying to eliminate the obvious cuases of error.

I can't really see any reason why it wouldn't work, so I'm not gonna be surprised if it's related to the recent maint. they did...

Monday is almost here. Probably about 9 more hours until 7 AM in Austin, TX (unless they start at 8 AM), so I hope you have an answer from them by the time I get home from work tomorrow...

I did a search on the forums, theres a couple of old threads showing this same error but there wasn't any posts on how it was sorted or if it even was. I will post here as and when i get an answer off support

EDIT: Just got the usual "we're escalating your ticket for further assistance. Once your ticket has been reviewed, someone will be in contact with you as soon as possible." so now it's just a waiting game

That means it's being bumped to Account Support. I'm not sure what time they get to work in Austin, but I know that they only take phone calls from 12 Noon to 5 PM. Hopefully they are spending the earlier parts of the day clearing up email items, things that came in on support tickets, etc.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
