Valkyrie set?

Okay, I have an existing PC version of the game and have had it for some time. I want the Valkyrie costume options. Is my only option to buy the MAC version of the game for $20 bucks? Will that even work on my PC?

I'd really like the costume set and I'd like to not have to pay as much for it as I did for the game itself - what can I do?

That is your only option, and it does work on a PC. It also comes with the Mission Transporter, which is full of rainbows and win.

I'm 93% sure that you buy the mac code, apply it to your account, get a free month tacked on and then you've ended up paying $5 for the Valkyrie costume pieces. No need to ever download the mac installer.

Damn. That's harsh.

Thanks.

Does the 'free month' mean they don't charge you the following month, or does it mean that whenever you finally decide to stop playing the game down the road, you can keep playing for a month after you've deactivated your account?

Its really a $5 buy though since it comes with a free month. A bargain by costume pack standards. I assume it was so they could show how successful their mac launch was honestly.

And as to free month....its the next month.

If I recall correctly (yea, really CMA here) that the next pay period that you haven't paid for gets waved and you don't get autocharged for that month.

So if you pay one month at a time, the following month doesn't get charged. If you've paid for 3 months, when that period is over, the following month doesn't get charged, and when that is done, the next 3 month period gets charged.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

It means that you get an extra month tacked onto the end of your current pay time. Next time you renew will be a month later than it would have otherwise been.

Also, if you pay yearly instead of monthly, the value of the free month will be ~$11 (which still leaves it as a better deal than buying just the item pack).

Thank you very much for clarifying that.

Well, you could get the In-game Items Pack, but as it is $9.99 and doesn't come with a free month, it is the more expensive version (if you include the free month).

Either option applies a code to your account, and both work for Apples and PCs.

Don't forget that the mac-pack comes with the Mission Transporter power, which allows you to teleport to whatever mission is currently set, regardless of what zone it's in. It can only be used once every 2 hours (that's it's recharge time, and it's unaffected by global recharge buffs) and will only port you to actual door missions (no porting to fed-ex missions) but it's still handy. You can't use it before level 3, unfortunately. Otherwise, you could leave the tutorial without getting a starter contact, and that's bad juju. But I bought the pack for this reason alone. Very much worth it.

BO's quote implied that the only way to get the Mac stuff was to purchase the Mac edition. BO completely forgot the Mac booster as well.

But since that has been clarified by others...

Thank you for the time...
