PVPEC needs your help!

The P.v.P.E.C. is a collection of players from multiple servers that are dedicated to enhancing the City of Heroes/Villains experience by helping plan, support, and run pvp events. Our shared goal is to complement our existing community projects through events such as zone pvp, kickballs, tournaments and various arena competitions.

Recently the P.v.P.E.C. has been taken over by new leadership. Sadly our last leader had to move on to bigger and better things in real life. Now myself and PerilX along with our very dedicated crew are looking to rebuild and expand the P.v.P.E.C. In order to expand and bring even more quality pvp events across all 11 servers we need more volunteers willing to help plan and run various pvp events.

No event planning experience is necessary. No pvp experience is necessary. All that is needed is a willingness to help and to learn about pvp events and the pvp community in general. We are a very relaxed and fun committee and hope that we can continue to bring quality pvp events to the City of Heroes/Villains Community for a long time to come.

If you are interested in joining our team please send me a p.m. here on the blue boards including what you would be able to do in order to help our committee and the server you would like to represent.

Thank you!

Hey Kat! Unfortunately, I'm not a PvPer but I have attended PvPec events in the past and always found them to be fun and unique. I appreciate the effort put in by the players involved in both PERC and PvPec in helping out our COX community.

Sadly, a large amount (I would say the majority) of the freedom active player base does not read the forums or even know about the forums. I, myself, am a 72 vet badge holder and only go to the forums to sign up for Mr. E-man's tf runs. I think an in-game recruitment might be better for your efforts.

If you want, I can post or contact the moderators of the various freedom channels to get an Motd out on the global channels. Most of our active moderators already keep up on forum happenings (Hi Tammy, Hi Turg, Hi Umbral, Hi rose, Hi PF, Hi term, Hi MB, Hi A1!!). This might get your message out to the people that play the game (now, if only people would read the MOTD )

Thank you to both of you, any helpful advertising we can get by various server personas would definitely help.

Don't worry guys, I've got this.

I'll run the PvPEC.

Seriously, though....

Why does no PvP experience of any kind work for this? That's probably the entire problem. If you have no understanding of it, you can't plan events people actually wanna take part in, and have far less interest yourself.

Dumb.

  1. If experienced pvpr's had any interest in volunteering their time they would and we wouldn't be as desperate as we are to get reps to help. You would think the people that actually pvp a lot would be the ones most interested in running events and trying to keep pvp alive in this game, sadly that is not the case.
  2. We do not pay our reps so expecting them to have job-like qualifications is unrealistic. People that do not pvp at all will not volunteer for this. Our reps are consistently people that have at least a small amount of pvp experience.
  3. Reps do not need to know how to plan events. That is Peril's job or the committees job as a whole to help design any type of event needed. All that is required is a desire to learn and basic reading comprehension and the ability to follow instructions.
  4. Soooooooo are you interested in joining Vex? Your pvp experience would of course put you at a huge advantage for planning and running fabulous events. :-)

Kat I would like to be apart of the PVPEC unless you find a better candidate which is fine by me.
