Bonfire...Worth it?
I like both but think both are optional. Bonfire is more situational. ID is annoying to keep casting, and thus also situational for me. I'd copy to Test Server (if it's up) and try a few missions with each. I have neither on my Fire/Kin. I do have bonfire on my Fire/Rad.
@SBeaudway on Pinnacle, TaskForce Titans Supergroup.
Okay sooo what else should I consider
The only powers I dont have are:
Ring of Fire, Smoke, Repel, Increase Density
Have everything else from Fire & Kin, and also have swift, health, stam, hover, fly
So far 26, 28, 30 are open powers
How do you normally play? On large teams, small teams, solo?
Do you have a final goal or just want to enjoy the sets until 50?
Kin is often paired with hasten, speedy gets speedier.
ID is nice for smaller teams but used less so on larger teams.
If you plan to always be on large teams, building towards tactics is nice since all of your powers require a tohitt.
That being said. . . If any of my fires can fit bonfire in, I take it. It's giggle worthy and quite useful once you learn how to position it.

id say no. Its a good power if you need to block a doorway or something of that nature where the knockback is useful.
Id say you shoud be looking at Hasten, and Assault and Tactics which will help your team AND your pets.
The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.
If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-
I am a strong proponant of Bonfire . . . but I would take Hasten first.
Bonfire can be very, very useful in the right situation. The more I use it, the more effective uses I find for it. All those AV's with Knockback protection? Bonfire adds a little extra damage and keeps any other foes away from you while you beat on the AV. Statesman's Task Force? Nothing is better on the Towers to keep the Repairmen away. Respec Trial? Bonfire can protect one entire side of the Reactor. Block hallways and doors, protect squishy teammates from melee attacks, separate large groups . . . tons of uses.
But Hasten will provide more of a benefit . . . you want those AoE controls to recharge as fast as possible.
LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)

Bonfire is one of those powers like Repel or Hurricane- when its used right, its amazing. When its used wrong, it can really screw things up nicely.
On outdoor maps and big open areas, its nearly useless, except maybe as a panic button. On indoor maps, with the right wall shapes to focus and contain the KB, it can be extremely effective.
Also, when you slot it for KB, it actually increase in Magnitude. That means even those heavy Freakshow tanks will get tossed around by it!
Stay Gold, Paragon. Stay Gold.

Yes, just later. I cast bonfire and then stand in it with my squishy friends. Rare is the melee attack that gets to me. I respeced out of bonfire for a week, then respeced back into it. it was worth it to me.
Hasten is better for all around happiness. I use ID all the time. Tactics is powerful, but I hate all the toggle that drop when I am off with my transfusion.
Liberty Server
Having fun everyday.
Thanks for all the info.
I decided to test Bonfire out, and i think im gonna keep it
Got Hasten at 28, and ID at 30
On my Fire/Rad I have Bonfire and use it as another source of AOE damage, it works fine for this as long as you keep the mobs immobilized with Fire Cages. Remember that Cages has a 12 second -KB in it, so as long as you keep reapplying them at least every 10 seconds the mobs won't go flying. Usually I hit Cages practically as they come up to ensure that a miss doesn't send my toys flying.
Obviously this applies to moderately tough groups... easy mobs tend to die too fast for Bonfire to be very useful.

Just hit 26 on my fire/kin and was looking at Bonfire, and I just dont know if its worth taking.
Any advice would be helpful, because its either Bonfire or Increased Density at this point.
