charachter is currently logging out

Hi I don't know if somebody can help me. I played this afternoon on Union, everything was A okay. I logged out to get some rest and just started to log on union. So far so good. I wanted to see if my character I had played with earlier had sold his salvage and logged on. The system froze and the only option I had (I hate doing it so yes it was the only option) CTRL_ALt Delete. Logged back with the same char and it bumped me to the log-in screen with the following message: <characters name> is currently logging out try again later. tried it a few times no luck. I went to Defiant and was able to log on a toon without a problem. Then again went back to union. I got the same message again. went to another toon on union and the system froze up again!

Again Ctrl-alt-delete and this tie i shut down the computer. Again I tried and the same message came back. Is anything going can soembody help me? I have never seen this message before...

I'd wait about 10-30 minutes and check agian. If it's still happening, log on to a different character on the same server, and send a /petition with the names of the characters that you can't get back on to (and server!). A GM should be able to help you.

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.

Unfortunately this isn't an isolated issue. I, and others on Union, have people we can't log into or are 'currently logging out'.

From what I can gather from personal experience and those of others on Union, going to Talos results in a 'character limbo', I don't know if other zones are affected, but the main issue seems to be going to Talos.

The game does not so much as freezing, but it doing nothing at all at the loading screen. While it was happened I checked my Task Manager showing as Running rather than Not Responding, after a minute or so I killed the process and logged back in. From there tried jumping on the toon I was using, but met with the pop-up that she was still logging out.

I was able to log into another toon on the same account, thinking it might bump off the old one, logged out, back to try the stuck toon and same pop-up. So petitions and bug reports have been sent (this was a few hours ago), but little to no response unfortunately.

Ah well then at least I know it is soemthing wrong with the Talosmapserver and not my computer something like that. That clears my head a little. Thanks fo the responses guys!

I'll add my name to the "Halp! My character is in Talos limbo!" list

In my case, I was heading to Talos from my SG telepad when I got the same symptoms as listed above - i.e. game hangs on Talos loading screen, and subsequent attempts to access that character from the selection screen are met with a box saying the character was "still logging out".

Logging a different toon in the same SG allowed me to see myself online twice according to the SG list, although I couldn't actually initiate a /t conversation with myself...thankfully...

Clicking the SG 'ghost' in the list and attempting to "Add a Note" to the poor limboed alter ego resulted in the standard message that the character was either hidden, offline, or (and for once this one seemed the most plausible of the three reasons) non-existent.

I /petitioned this too, but no response as yet for me either.

Talos appears to be back up and functional again.
