Power Idea- Transformations
these are available during the halloween event as temp power costume changes. there are a bunch of them. but they only last for a short while. 13 days real time i think. but they can be gotten over and over during the event.

The main problem is making them work with Player powers, afaik. For example, thats probably why we never got a CoT mage Halloween costume. Because for certain powersets, like Martial Arts, it simply wouldnt work.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

It would be even cooler if you could only turn into things that you have defeated before. That sounds like a database nightmare, so how about you can only turn into (select) enemies that you would encounter within a level range?
well, you can use the costume creator now to get a pretty close looking werewolf. it wont be as big as the npc ones though.

get your halloween salvage and turn it in at lv 1. then you don't have to wait until lv 20. or just create the toon from the begining as a werewolf. then set up a macro to use to change. you will still have to wait the 30 secs, but it is as close as we are going to get.
|
Yeah but I mean like a permanent dealy. It kinda sucks that I have to wait every halloween to turn into a monster. I wanna be a super werewolf that saves lives!

Let's go with the wolf transformation. Sounds like that's the one you're most interested in. What powers do you have as a human? Do you punch stuff? Maybe you're naturally faster? What else? Ok... so you're going to spend most of your time transformed. What powers do you have as a werewolf? Maybe you're tough to hurt, regenerate fast, dodge kinda easy, just like the Willpower set. Also, I'd imagine you're very strong and can throw rocks, like the super strength set, or maybe you just claw stuff to death, like the claws set.
You see where I'm going with this? I'm trying, but it just doesn't make sense to do it. You're better off with the costume changes. If you have to, go buy some Halloween salvage and have your level 1 character unlock an extra costume slot.
I have a few characters that use costume change emotes to change forms when they go into battle. I have a businessman with a suit of armor he turns on when he starts sending his minions into the fray(bots/traps MM) and an honest to goodness werewolf (sonic defender) who goes from mild mannered Englishman to scary screaming werewolf before he starts howling at bad guys.

Perhaps. I'm sorry. I'm still hung up on my Warshade question. I'm staring at a drawing of my Warshade and fighting the urge to yell "WHAT ARE YOU?" at him. Mainly because I'm afriad he'll answer and then I'll have to run screaming into the night because then I'll be officially crazy.
I'll take a stab at it.
Totally unrelated question. Just throwing it out there. I have a Warshade I'm planning on making a Villain. When he turns evil, Does that make him a Nictus again? Or is there another word for when a Nictus turns good and then turns evil again? Something to think about huh?
|
Let's start at the beginning. Helpless human walks down the street. Council capture him and implant nictus fragments. The nictus takes over the human body. The nictus is all evil and stuff, so he keeps control of the human body without merging. The human is essentially trapped within his own body.
Later, the nictus feels regret and remorse, and decides to become a more symbiotic relationship with the human he took over. They become one being, just like peacebringers, and merge together. Typically, this is when they are called a Warshade.
Now, why does your warshade become a villain? Does the nictus decide to take over again? That'd make him a nictus. Or is the combined personality becoming evil? He's still a warshade. Now he's just evil.

Ok. This all depends on why your Warshade goes villain. Let's start at the beginning. Helpless human walks down the street. Council capture him and implant nictus fragments. The best way would be to make it it's own Powerset. Each tier is a new creature.

this would require new skeletons. not to mention how do you get powers for the creatures? way to much work when you can use your costume slots to make different creature costumes to change into.

Autobots! Transform and--oh.
Well, I think the Kheldian's shapeshifting system works perfectly fine for a "shapeshifting" set. Which, I would love to see. However, it is unlikely that we will ever get such a treasure.
Besides, can you imagine how much a set like that would cost for enhancements?

Hello. Dark Lost here. First time posting on this forum. Thanks for having me. Now to my idea:
So my idea for this power came to me as I was fighting The Council's many werewolves. As my metal gauntlet politely imbeded itself into the wolf's lower jaw, I thought to myself, "These things may be trying to kill me but they look awesome. I wish there was a way to become one that doesn't involve me going to level 20, unlocking a second costume, modeling said costume with the wolf monster costume pieces and constantly switch between them." Then Ba ba baaaaaaa (angelic noise) the idea was born!
I mean we already have the transformation emote (Peacebringers/Warshades) Sooooo...Why not use that emote for someone else without Kheldain abilities? Here are some possible transformations:
Werewolf
Lost hulk monster thing (The name escapes me at this point)
Rikti warrior (Vets of the Warzone know how this would work)
Red Cap Gnome ( I KNOW those things will infect us. I KNOW IT!)
The power would work like the Kheldain transform power. A few moves while in form could work. Plus how imposing/inspiring would your villain/hero group look with a werewolf/hulk/Rikti/creepy giant gnome teammate on your team?
So thanks for letting me speak my idea. Tell me if you think it's good. Tell me if you think another transformation would be better. Tell me what kind of attacks could got with each transformation. But please don't say "ISN'T. EVER. GOING. TO. HAPPEN." I know it won't unless we got like everyone to petition but that requires a lot of paperwork and I have a girlfriend who keeps telling me to take out the garbage and blah blah blah I just don't have the time to do all that stuff. I get it. Some ideas never make it. But it's here now so let's just kick it around for a bit. Don't shoot it down in the first few seconds. Because then you're the equivilant of the guy who takes away the beach ball you play with during lunch at school. And no one likes that guy.
