Except I would have a personal stake. A utopia where I'm judged for the merits of my character and hard work, so long as I can make sacrifices for the betterment of everyone? No one in real life has ever offered me that. It sounds great.
And I'm not "versus" anyone, at least, no in THIS thread. 
If they want to continue some manner of imaginary argument with an ongoing deluge of comments of empty substance that are irrelevant to this discussion and punctuated with a winky, I don't care.

Given that in a previous thread, GG was advocating the invasion of another country to impose your personal values upon it, I find any use of Godwin's Law by her upon others to be hilariously ironic.

Personally, I'd join up with Emperor Cole!
A clean living, Clockwork robots that will gladly do all the little things, food on the table every night, keeping the streets safe, yep, I think I could find myself settling into an imperial lifestyle overnight. It'll be better then trying to scrape a living down an alleyway or in the sewers where the Syndicate can pick you off or you can get torn apart by a bunch of Ghouls.
Of course, I'd always be plotting on how to advance myself, because I can be such a devious type if you give me the chance.

What is it with you anyway, GG? You seem to be playing the 'he acts like a good guy, but I know things!' game. M'kay, two can play that one my female friend!
The Resistance might be fighting for the people, but they're led by a man who is simply just blinded by one goal, and it's not the freedom of the people. Cole, even though he might have just caused a few tiny hiccups, still keeps the city as safe as it can possibly be. Without him and his armies, Praetoria could sink into anarchy, with factions carving out their own little parts of the city and civil war erupting. Scott's not going to fill that power vacuum, he just wants his wife back, he doesn't want to end up running an entire empire.
Anyway, I got my bit off my mind. Sorry to threadjack.

You're missing my point. I'm not saying "Don't be right". The point is that this whole thing is a complicated issue. You think you're right. They think they're right. Let the conversation be more than you driving a rail spike through the heads of everyone that disagrees.
Heck, you don't think I disagree with a lot of the people here? But that's the point. This thread is about experiencing the vast breadth of opinions on this topic. If someone made a thread called "Who is more virtuous: The Loyalists or The Resistance?", you'd be right at home.
Even if I and everyone else conceived that you were right, it still wouldn't be the point. The point is that you intentionally drag down any thread that has opinions with which you don't agree. It's oppressive and the antitheses of conversation.
You think that I'm not saying your view point is legitimate. It is, but you don't want anyone else comfortable in expressing theirs.
What's more: You rarely discuss. You more tell people they are wrong and then sit back down in your chair, throwing peanuts, popcorn, and soda bottles at them while you yell out insults in an attempt to drown out their part on stage.
Considering both sides seem dubious as best, I'd rather just not take sides and just wait for the thingy to be fixed in a year.
In the meantime I'd stay in Tyrant's good books. Not do anything for him, but just, y'know, follow the rules and not cause any problems.
