Can we have more content/missions with Hequat in them?

So I have ran the Scirocco arc a few times with various toons, and each time I do I find this mission to be great. She is one of the best looking AV's in the game with those unique costume pieces. I went to do some research on her to see what other arcs I could fight her in and found that she is only in ONE mission in the entire game! (Scirocco Patron)

This is a waste to me as I was reading up on this character, it leaves a lot to the imagination to pursue her story more.

Here is a quote from the link above:

Quote:
There is no more mention of Hequat until 20th century, when a fundamentalistic faction among the Mu Mystics of Arachnos who, longing for the return of their goddess and like their ancestors of old, served her above even Arachnos, Scirocco, and Lord Recluse, tried to contact her. No one knows what would occur if the goddess were to return to the modern world, but since all gods depend on worship to thrive, she is likely in a highly weakened state, given the small number of Mu zealots maintaining her cult. That could, however, always change
Also if you read here:
http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Mu_Mystics

Quote:
This group's history is intimately related to the old civilization of Mu, its conflict with Oranbega and the Circle of Thorns and, above everything else, their blind faith to their beloved goddess Hequat. The group's internal policies may be bizantine and, given their previous history, some in Arachnos wonder where their true loyalties are.
Quote:
Despite the harsh discipline in Arachnos' ranks, there is what it seems to be a fundamentalistic Mu faction among them of mystics who long for the return of their goddess Hequat and, like their ancestors of old, serve her above any other thing, Arachnos, Scirocco or Lord Recluse included. No one knows what would happen if the goddess would return to the modern world. However, it must be remembered that her hatred stemmed from the Oranbegans' refusal to bow down to the gods in all things, as she thought was proper for mortals. That aspect may bode ill for today's peoples and cultures
Seems to have enough here to let the imagination go wild with story telling and make something happen, Personally I find her and the Mu Mystic back story interesting enough to post a suggestion to give her more of a modern tale in the current world. It does not have to be in a Trial or TF (Even though it would be nice) but I would like for NCSoft to expand more on the character as it seems there is room to expand on her and the Mu Mystic's story.

How would others feel about this?

This is too epic to just have ONE mission in the whole game?

Or at least give access to her costume parts. Honestly, there's giving and NPC one unique costume part to make them stand out, then there's characters like her with an entire set of parts that we'll probably never get ahold of.

It does seem odd that she has all those cool costume pieces and is in only ONE mission in the entire game.

I like her, think she looks awesome, and would like to see more of her too.

Now, any proposals for her involvement?

Possibly as part of the Incarnate System?

She available in Mission Architect?

She sure is, under Arachnos naturally.

Well there you go. Post me some (good) arcs with her in them

Thats funny since she is not apart of Arachnos when you read her back story lol

Anyway I was looking for something from NCSoft to make, not something player made with the AE feature. But that seems to be the only option at the moment. Even though I did get a email from a redname about the OP request so.. *crosses fingers* hopefully we get something in the future

Found another link with more background of the character

Hequat and the Mu
This serves as a preface to the first book of the history of the Mu/Oranbegan war. Though we did not know of them until the War, the Mu had been our sworn enemy for hundreds of years. Within a fortress-island forged of iron and fear they had been trained to hate us and to fight against us for generations. Their Goddess demanded it, and they obeyed her in all ways. They believed that their chosen place upon this world was to serve as the righteous implement of her will, and in their deeds and customs did they enshrine this so that to do otherwise would be unthinkable. At her command they performed generations of what would now be called eugenic breeding in order to strengthen the magical power within their blood lines to unheard of levels. At her command they crushed all contrary thought, and made no art that did not praise her name. At her command they attacked our peaceful Oranbega on a spring day, sewing ruin on our city and bringing war to us after it had become forgotten in our lands. The name of this Goddess was Hequat.

Hequat was in our myths as well, for it was her followers who had hounded us from our lands and drove our forbears into the sea. In our myths she was the former lover of Ermeeth, the god who taught our people the magic he had learned from fabled Tielekku. Hequat was also Ermeeth's greatest foe, and it was from her armies we had fled under one sea and across another to the land we would call Oranbega. We had thought Ermeeth and Hequat both legends until her soldiers came one fateful spring to burn our world away.

Hequat hated Oranbega then, and would hate that which we have become even more. However, it must be remembered that her hatred stemmed from our refusal to bow down to the gods in all things, as she thought it was proper for mortals. That aspect may bode ill for the peoples and cultures of this modern era.

Yes, absolutely. She should be used more. As widespread as the COT are, they should be doing something about her. Not to mention the Banished Pantheon. Even a time-travel mission of some sort where you're sent back to the banishing of the BP's gods would be interesting - and then, given our upcoming "shades of grey," make your own mind up about the truth of the Mu-Orenbanga war(s.)

Add in Ermeeth, as mentioned above. Not sure that Tielekku would be currently available, given some of what's mentioned in game - unless I'm remembering wrong.

Personally, I wish they'd involve more literal gods in the game's story. Hequat is a great little cameo, but it'd be nice to see the old faces back, like Tielekku, Ermeeth and especially Lughebu. There are few things more ego-boosting than fighting a god and winning. That one fight with Hequat in Scirocco's arc is much more impressive than the final fight with Lord Recluse. I mean, she's a goddess. He's at best a demigod, if that. I know she's supposed to be weaker, but so what? She's still a literal goddess.

I suspect we'll see some of that with I19's Incarnate system, but I hope we keep the spirit of the Hequat fight, in that she's in a regular mission and scales down into an EB.

Would love to see Tielekku

And the Banished Pantheon, though they seem to be quite strange, Lughebu appears to be the "wooden" guy.

I somewhat suspect that we'll get to fight the actual Pantheon with the Dark Astoria revamp that was mentioned a couple years ago.

I wouldn't count on Hequat and other demi-gods to be part of the Incarnate system right now. From the information that we have now, the Incarnate system will require Going Rogue, and that Positron's end-game is probably going to be set in the Praetorian realm.

We don't know that the Mu and the Circle had the clash in the Praetorian realm that they had in our realm, nor do we know if Hequat exists in the Praetorian realm at all.

Given the story that we know of Hequat, the only reason she's IN one mission at all is because it is the summoning mission where she is brought back. In modern Paragon, she pretty much can only show up once...

That being said... the Midnighter Club already places Heroes and Villains into the Imperious / Romulus conflict, so it might make sense to expose additional storylines involving the war between the Circle and the Mu in the past.

A good interjection point might be: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Mu

Quote:
But another race, the Coralax, already lived on the island of Mu before it was raised from the sea.[2] There was then a great war between the ancient Mu civilization and the Coralax. In the war, the Leviathan was called forth by the Coralax High Priest, Calystix the Shaper.[3] The Leviathan threatened to devour all the Mu, and it was only through the intervention of the Mu goddess Hequat that saved the Mu. She turned it into coral and trapped the Leviathan beneath the Island,[2] underneath what is now known as Sharkhead Isle.[3]

We don't know exactly what Hequat did to save the Mu... it's possible that she called forth adventures from beyond the veil to her aid... the most powerful beings she could locate... the Powers of Paragon City and the Rogue Isles.

This is a waste to me...

I can say the same thing about a few others, such as Mirror Spirit and Foreshadow (though they do beat Hequat by getting to stand around doing nothing as trainers); Mirror Spirit even gets two signature powers, Mirror Trap and Mirror Shield.

But what about:
There are also a few who only show up during a TF/SF/Trial, but those can be repeated outside of Ouroboros.

Good god... Who drew these? Is that a professional comic book?

Know what I want from Foreshadow? His arms. He's using Robotc Arms 2, only his arms aren't robotic. They're human. Why can't we have human replacement upper arms? I mean, there's no reason for it.

I believe those were part of the later COH comics. I seem to remember that grouping of the BP's deities.

Edit - yep. Top cow run, #15.

Soddenly, I don't feel like I missed out by not getting those in the mail.
