Sooooo I18
While i18 contains the market merger, trading between heroes and villains in co-op zones, the CoP trial. All of these things have been in demand for a very VERY long time. PvP has always been a small minority in this game, even when it was introduced. In terms of giving players what they want i18 wins.
EB, just realize that they don't have to bring out a new Issue at the same time: they could just bring out a new expansion, after all. If this were a regular Issue, I would agree that it's a little small/dry. But it's not, it's an Issue coming out at the same time as an expansion.
Comparing I18 to I6 is just going to come down to your preferences with what is in each of them... and as I said earlier, we don't really know how everything is going to work with I18 yet.

Ele... have you done this version of the CoP? Are you breaking the NDA like Mental?
As far as my not doing it yet, why should I have to to judge it? I can read a process and determine if I like it or not, it's not unrealistic. Doing the same thing twice, then pounding on the Aspect for < 1 minute, doesn't seem very epic.
They call it hard, I call it a temp power fest. To each his own though, I'm still gonna run the thing, but so far it's meh in my book. |

My point before was that it's kind of hard to judge how great this CoP is going to be before we play it. It read to me like you were assuming knowledge you can't have (or shouldn't admit to having, heh).
Orly? Is that why you told me what was in GR for missions?

Someone made the comparison of I18/GR to I6/CoV. My point is that the features of I18 pails in comparison to the features of GR (rightfully so). But when you compare the features of I6 to CoV the difference in features aren't as broad.

In terms of giving players what they want; I think the staff for the more part does that every issue. If they don't give us what we want, they always give us what we need. Yes those features are things players have been asking for, but it's also my opinion that maybe a handful more players would return for I18; or at least have more to look forward to if they had a new powerset (or side switching with no Pretoria). What's really the harm in doing so? Yes I know they're a business and they want to maximize their profits; but maybe throwing a bone above in will increase customer loyalty.
As far as PvP, again I said PvP Zones and all the associated zone goodies. For years I never PvP'd but I as well as others use Shivians and nukes as integral parts of the game.
