Please post a CoH Helper log, as it might be driver related (my money is on this). Also, from the updater, try having it Verify All Files to ensure the installation hasn't been corrupted in anyway.

Sad face. City doesn't play well with Intel chipsets. There are real video cards available as cheap as $50 that would be leagues ahead of your onboard video.

EDIT: Nice specs otherwise. I'd venture that the problem is related to the Intel graphics.
There are newer drivers over at Intel's Download Center (I think this is the right page, select the correct OS to narrow the list).

When I open my contact list or am talking to a contact the little picture of the compact in question just shows up as black. Is this a common easily fixable problem or are my attempts futile. I've tried running it in safe mode but its the same thing.
