Dark Servant & Sets

After returning to the game I found myself unhappy with my Ice/Dark Corrupter, so I decided to reroll her into something else. My first choice was Dark/Dark, but didn't really like that either. I finally settled on Fire/Dark and I must say that its quite a bit of fun.

That said, long story short is that I'm having difficulty deciding on how to slot my Dark Servant. We all love ours, I even named my Fluffy. I even feed him cookies when he's a good boy!

*Coughs*

Anyways. I'm at the point where I am starting to think that I shouldn't use IO sets at all for him, and simply keep using the normal IOs so he can be good at a little bit of everything.

Keep in mind that when I was last playing IOs didn't exist, so I'm still kind of new to the scene and slowing working things out.

I stumbled upon the Mid's tool which has been such a huge help. Anyways, this is my current build. I'm mostly hoping for some ideas regarding Dark Servant slotting, but any other suggestions would be appreciated as well.

Thank you in advance.

I find Fluffy (everyone calls them fluffy) the best pet in the game. He stays ranged and cycles everything he has so there isn't really a right way to slot him as long as you have enough recharge for him to be perma (which it looks like you do). Personally I like to max his heals as much as possible.

Max out -ToHit and learn to summon him in the middle of groups. He'll floor ToHit on anything around him. After than bit of accuracy and the rest in heals.

Frankenslotting can be very useful for Fluffy.

I think slotting for -To Hit is the most valuable thing you can slot for.

That being said, we want Dark Servant to hit with it's attacks, so that leaves Accurate To Hit Debuffs as our prime category.

Out of that category you have two choices:

1) Cloud Senses: Slightly expensive, lower enhancement values but fantastic set bonuses (+End, +Rech, +Ranged Def).

2) Siphon Insight: Cheap, better enhancement values, overall less bang for your buck in terms of set bonuses. Enhances +SM/L def, good for builds that choose Black Scorp PPP.

I would choose based on if you want a SM/L def build or a Ranged DEF build.

Side note: The Gladiator Unique you have slotted will most probably cost you minimum 2 billion infamy.

Thank you for the replies.

I realize that many of what is in my build will cost me an arm and a leg, but the thing that I love most about CoX is that INF is relatively easy to come by. That said, I'm only focusing on one character at a time, so it's not like I'm spreading my INF around multiple characters. I'm not too worried about it in the long run. Eventually I'll get it done.

I was looking at perhaps doing 2 of the Miracle set and then 4 Cloud Senses originally, so it's good to see that I was at least on the right track.

Agreed. Fluffy is AWESOME as a mule for various bonuses that you may be looking for. I usually put three pairs of set IOs. Lockdowns are handy for the +damage, the purple Immob set give 4% Recovery, etc. One of the best things about Fluffy is that he take SO many sets.

Never argue with stupid people. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I wouldn't worry about enhancing the heal too much.

Dark Servant will be spamming Twilight's Grasp, and so will you. It's a pretty powerful hel right out of the box.

If you do go this route, I prefer the accurate healing sets.
