  1. Thank you for the replies.

I realize that many of what is in my build will cost me an arm and a leg, but the thing that I love most about CoX is that INF is relatively easy to come by. That said, I'm only focusing on one character at a time, so it's not like I'm spreading my INF around multiple characters. I'm not too worried about it in the long run. Eventually I'll get it done.

I was looking at perhaps doing 2 of the Miracle set and then 4 Cloud Senses originally, so it's good to see that I was at least on the right track.
  2. After returning to the game I found myself unhappy with my Ice/Dark Corrupter, so I decided to reroll her into something else. My first choice was Dark/Dark, but didn't really like that either. I finally settled on Fire/Dark and I must say that its quite a bit of fun.

That said, long story short is that I'm having difficulty deciding on how to slot my Dark Servant. We all love ours, I even named my Fluffy. I even feed him cookies when he's a good boy!

    *Coughs*

Anyways. I'm at the point where I am starting to think that I shouldn't use IO sets at all for him, and simply keep using the normal IOs so he can be good at a little bit of everything.

Keep in mind that when I was last playing IOs didn't exist, so I'm still kind of new to the scene and slowing working things out.

I stumbled upon the Mid's tool which has been such a huge help. Anyways, this is my current build. I'm mostly hoping for some ideas regarding Dark Servant slotting, but any other suggestions would be appreciated as well.

    Thank you in advance.

  3. And now I must got watch that movie once again.

Been a few years, seems about time.

  4. A lot of the other gender locked pieces makes me sad too. I mean really, in a world of super powered beings, or some just super talented, it's not too far fetched that a woman may want to disguise herself as a man for a number of reasons.

And I mean sure, with new cosmetic surgeons we could just make a male version of the avatar, but then we lose some of the just feminine enough looks or curves and it doesn't quite look right. And then everyone thinks weird things when you costume switch. XD

The 'bosom' vest as I like to call it does have an Aladdin feel to it. Would be great to be able to use that on male characters for a genie or djinn type character.

And yes, some of the other chest pieces can give that type of baron coat look for woman, it's just not quite right. Trust me, I've spent hours in the creator trying to get that desired look, but something just nags at me. Hehe.
  5. This is more a request than a suggestion or idea, but I figured it suited this forum the most.

Now you will probably think I'm insane, or perhaps think that my request is trivial, as really it's just a small thing, but something that's been eating at me.

I was wondering... hoping even that the developers may consider allowing female characters the option of using the Baron coat. Really, that's all I have to say, and in the midst of all the other suggestions and ideas it seems like nothing, but I'm sure others other than myself would love it.

It's an amazing looking piece, but I feel it's a shame it can only be selected for male characters.

On a similar note, I'd also love to see an almost band-jacket type jacket for both sexes. The type with buttons on either side, closed or open. There's the scientist coat which almost does this, but not quite as stylized.

Anyways, just thought I'd make a quick post describing my wants. I love the character customization of this game but of course, I'm selfish and want more.
  6. I'm also having issues logging in.

Logged in fine, turned my settings to Ultra, fined tuned them. Ran smooth and all beautiful. Logged out.

Now I can't log back in. Doesn't even take me to the login screen. I just get to stare at a semitransparent loading bar for the game on my desktop. Even when trying to load up in safe mode.

    My specs:
    Intel i7 920 @ 4.1GHz
    EVGA GTX 295
    6 GB RAM

Should work fine. It was before I logged out. T.T
  7. Thanks for the advice.

I have a more direct question this time though.

I have the 12 month veteran reward of Loyal. Now my corrupter has the bonuses given from the veteran reward, the sprint powers and the weapon power.

I can't find any way to redeem those rewards for new characters, though, and I was under the impression that each character on an account with the Loyal rewards could get them.

    Quote:
Each of the characters on player accounts with twelve or more months will receive the option of having a version of the Ghost Slaying Axe or the Sands of Mu that does not expire.
The sprint ones are worded a bit differently, and I'm not really sure how to go about understanding it.

    Quote:
When City of Heroes launched, there were several “pre-order” bonuses that players could obtain, but each player was limited to one of these “special sprint” powers on their account. Now, with the Veteran Rewards program, we give these bonuses to all players after one year of subscription.
One per account, but my corrupter has more than one, so can I redeem them for my other characters as well?

    I'm so confused. T.T
  8. Been gone a long time. Couple years maybe, not sure. Little confused about a lot of things.

My main question is more a matter of opinion than anything. I'm debating if I should login and play my Ice/Dark Corrupter sitting at 41 and try to remember where I was, what I was doing, so on and so forth or if I should start from scratch with a fresh character to learn the basics all over again.

What do you think would be the most enjoyable after such a long time away? My corrupter is on the Virtue server and I think I'd like to stay there. I'd essentially remake the character if anything as I enjoyed her. I really just can't remember anything. How to play, build, and especially the story arcs.

Any other advice that isn't regarding my main question is welcome. Been too long. ^.^

    [u]Overveiw[u]
We are a new Villain Group which was recently formed on the Virtue Server. Currently small and tightly knit, we are looking to expand our ranks to the various patrons of City of Villains. We enjoy Role-play, and are very accepting of the vast community of role players which litter the Virtue server. With that said, we are also a dedicated group whom desires to progress through the game, whether it be completing missions/story arks, Strike Forces, and Group Raids.

    [u]Role-play[u]
With regards to role-play, we are currently very free form. We accept almost any storyline, including those which have 'dark and shady pasts'. We believe that role-play should be something which is engaged when the player so desires it; something that should be done at one's own leisure so it can be enjoyed. We do not believe in forcing our members to participate in role-play when they would rather be off doing something else, whether it is on City of Villains or not. We currently do not hold scheduled role play sessions, however it may be something to consider for the future if members decide upon it. It should also be stated that the base, as well as the Leaders have a storyline which ties closely together, and we are more then open to combing character's storyline's whom become closely involved.

    [u]Game Progression[u]
Advancing through and enjoying the game should be the top priority of any group of almost any game. We feel that our members would enjoy themselves and play when they so desire. After all, it is a game, and games are meant to be played for enjoyment! They should not have to become a chore! That is our philosophy, and we strive to keep by it. Members should be encouraged to help one another and enjoy the game with others at the same time. We force nothing upon our members, hence why we are very 'free form'. With that stated, it should also be known that we feel it is important to put heavy focus on a code of conduct. There are rules, not many, and not difficult ones, simply ones which will allow for an enjoyable community. In late game we have hopes of doing Group raids, as well as Strike Forces and difficult story arks.

    [u]Base[u]
Our base is still in the process of being built, however we currently poses a working Teleporter, Medbay, Workshop, and meeting room. We are always in the process of acquiring new items for our base, and hope to make it a wondrous place to not only role-play, but to simply hang out and enjoy the company.

    [u]PvP[u]
We do not focus on PvP, however we have no quarrels with members whom enjoy such events. Forming a focused PvP division of the Group to accommodate our PvPers would be more then welcomed, and would simply need to be asked for. We support all play styles, whether they are PvE, RP, or PvP.
