Error message on login

I just tried to connect after the patch this morning. I can log in, and get the server selection screen, but when I pick my server I get this error:

Wrong game version, run patcher and reconnect, server 1800.201005212331.2T, client 1800.201006040036.3T

I've tried bringing up the client again to see if there's anything new, but the same message happened again.

Is this happening to everyone, or just me?

Add on: I tried verifying all files as well and that didn't help.

It's nice to know it's not just me though, but it still sucks... I was hoping to get some play time in before work today. *sad panda*

I also have the "Wrong game version, run patcher and reconnect, server 1800.201005212331.2T, client 1800.201006040036.3T" error. Here is the strange part = It's happening on my computer, but my wife's CoH computer doesn't.

Also, this morning, my computer did a patch upgrade for CoH, so I thought a new patch came in, and was confused when I walked over to my wife's computer, and there was no download of files.

So, obviously, some accounts / settings are triggered on mine, but not on hers. Has to do with the "phantom patch" that happened on mine, and has now locked me out. I'm the farthest thing from a techy there is. I clicked on "Verify all files". No help. I tried to log-in on safe mode. Still no help. I hate to say it, but I hope it's a widespread problem, ergo, it'll be fixed by CoH. If not, I guess I'm doing something else till I get a new computer I suppose.

i have a new computer. My wife does not. I can access my account from her computer but not from mine.


Hers is a 2 year old laptop mines a brand new gaming system....

Mine is also new about a week before i17.

Any word on patch notes as to why this happening on some computers and not others.

I tried to re download the pc client and it didnt work

I just tried it again, and got another mini patch - fixing files, it said.

I can log in fine now. Try running the updater again and see what happens.

Same error for me, verify files also did not work; anyone know who to pm/email about this thread so that they'll try to sort it out?

im trying something drastic since i can still access my account on wifes comp to run a misson or two before i got to go out and be a person.


I deleted game-(since i got time)

downloading now let ya know in an hour or two if it worked

Anyone find a solution to this yet? I'm plagued with the same problem. I can't get in the game.

The third time worked for me. Ran updater it fixed itself. I verified all files. I was able to log in. I trying to log in again now. Looks promising, it did not patch or verify/fix any files.

And it worked. Looks like all is good. Two different servers and no issues.

re-copy of game worked for me before servers went down managed to run a nice farm

I'm getting an Error message on Updater! I deleted the Checksum on C:\Program Files (x86)\city of heroes and still have the same problem! All this seems to be a problem after the 4am downtime today!!! DAMN IT!!!
