AV to GM
In terms of raw DPS, iirc it's about 340 but not certain. It's definitely 300+.
As a Fire/Rad though, you've got LR. The -regen on that equates to a lot of effective DPS as long as its maintained on the GM.
Someone better with numbers can give you more information on the details.

Also note that the GMs in PI are level 50, and therefore have the debuff resistances of a level 50 (85%) which means the effectiveness of your LR is dramatically reduced compared to say, against a level 40 GM such as Jurassik (outdoor version, Crey's Folly). Along with the Kronos Titan (outdoor version, Founders Falls) these are the toughest GMs to take down.
As for how much DPS you need, that's kind of irrelevant when you're playing a rad. If you got it to 75% health then you should be able to finish the job as long as you pull one far enough off the coast to avoid adds. You can also try these GMs in the AE for more convenience.

First, while GMs technically have levels, they scale with the level of those attacking them, Monsters don't do this.
Monsters also tend to have higher regen and debuff resistances but lower hit points than GMs.
The enemies on Monster Island in PI aren't GMs at all, they are Monsters; Monsters tend to be more like AVs than GMs.

There are a few differences between the two:

Incorrect.
So with the level differences, what would be an "easy" GM to start with? Kraken and Croatoa ones are in the lowest zones I can think of.
Kraken, Paladin, Babbage, Adamastor, Croatoa GMs and Jurassik are some good ones to try.
Well I tried Adamastor, and I got him down almost half way 2 times. One thing I didn't think about was that AVs I have solo'd can be immobilized, and get perma containment damage, but the GMs cannot. This also resulted in him trying to close into melee range, and I try to keep a distance so PBAoEs don't hit imps. With them dying every so often, I either had to resummon, and hurt my endurance in the process, or deal with a lot less damage by not having them there. I ended up running out of endurance the second time, and the toggle drop killed me.

Fight my brute
Yep, that was the next thing I was planning. Would it also be a better idea to go for ranged defense over s/l? Looks more expensive, since the epic shield can't help there, but probably worth it, right?

it will let you tackle a much larger scope of AV/GM's than s/l will.
If you build for ranged def it will let you take a res based epic to further increase your survivability. ie fire for a superior filler attack that is very endurance friendly, or psy for full mez protection and softcapped psy def which will let you tackle those AV's that like to use dominate a bit more easily. Or power for better endurance management if that is something you require.
The problem I'm having is that I can't get enough recharge into the build to get perma AM/Hasten without taking away defense.

edit: I just threw a build together that has 119.9 sec rech on hasten and 40.3% ranged (so ~46% w/ RI) without the pvp IO, so it is certainly possible I'm sure as that isn't technically perma hasten.
Haha I'm assuming more than one purple set was used? Ah, time to get to farming.

If you are looking to be able to take out most AV/GM's without temps/insp then the build has much steeper requirements. The power creep in the game has progressed to the point where it isn't hard to create almost any toon that can take out a handful of AV's they are strong against and rad starts with a major leg up in that department too. It is however, still very demanding to create a toon that can blow through most of the big threats. That build direction isn't for everyone and it can spoil the game for you if you aren't careful because once you've made a toon that can beat just about everything, there isn't much left to aim for.
How much more dps do you need to take down a GM than on an AV? I tried to solo one of them roaming around the top of PI, and I got it about 1/4 of the way down. Then it ran back to the top of the hill and another GM was aggroed and the two killed me. I'm just curious how much dps is needed to solo one. This was on a fire/rad troller by the way, mostly IO'd out, but no LotG yet, or the Purps I want.
