Voltaic Sentinel and DE Herders
Probably has to do with VS's un-targetable status.
The plastic tips at the end of shoelaces are called aglets. Their true purpose is sinister.

Most pets can attack enemies that are untargetable by players as long as long as the enemy critter isn't flagged untouchable as well.
Freakshow that are rezzing, Rikti invaders teleporting in, critters in a hidden/camouflaged state all can be attacked by pets while untargetable/unattackable by players. Generally AoE attacks that don't require a target can damage such enemies as well. Damage auras and rain powers are the most common examples.

Don't AoE's get them too? Like the rain powers.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.
My favorite tactic with my AR/Fire blaster:
Build Up -> TP into the center of the 'treed' herders -> Fire Sword Circle -> Combustion
Doesn't always finish them immediately but by the time Combustion finishes they're targetable, and a good frag grenade will usually finish them nicely.
Noticed something odd over the weekend- when encountering DE Herders in their initial "I'm just a tree" mode, if a Voltaic Sentinel was summoned near them, it would fire while they were still disguised, and untargetable by anything else. They'd promptly de-cloak, with a sliver of health gone, which indicated the attack was real.
Is this a bug, or is VS supposed to be able to do that? Can any other pet do it?
