Team Arena PvP Learning Center
I am organizing a group of liberty players interested in learning and participating in Team Arena PvP. Myself and a guest mentor will be teaching participants the fundamentals of team arena. We will practice with each other, talk to you individually on how to improve, and play friendly matches against another team. No PvP experience is required, but the willingness to learn and a good attitude is. It’s made up of all liberty players and so far I feel we have a good group of people. This is meant to help rebuild the pvp community and having fun. It is a place where players will improve and grow individually and as a team.

Where
This is for the liberty community, but it will take place on the Test server in Galaxy City because many Liberty pvprs moved servers and it is much easier for pvers to make pvp friendly builds for free. It is easy to download http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Test_server

Schedule
Tuesdays and Saturdays @8:30pm EST starting the 22nd. This is subject too change depending on people’s schedules, so don’t feel discouraged to sign up if these play times don’t fit yours. Ideally attending once a week at least would be great, but isn‘t necessary. For those who just want to test it out once or twice to see if they like what they see are welcome as well.

Other Notes

• I hope after creating a foundation of players we can play regular kickballs on live.
• A lot of players already have Ventrilo, and it makes a huge difference in learning and team pvp. Please download it if you haven’t here.
• We have a ventrilo server and I will post additional information on a guild portal site soon.
• If you are a interested in this or are participating there is a channel called PvP Learning Center you can join.
• I’ll continue to post how things are progressing.

Participants
I feel we have a good group of people to start out with. I was very happy and surprised too see so many people interested in learning/in pvp (I did individual recruitment for only two days) considering the practically nonexistant presence of pvp on liberty. The following people are interested in this event and will be trying it out. I will create a “Roster” that will consist of players who plan on regularly participating later on.

IMO: People who I've pvped with/against in the zone... should be a team captain. I counted 6 people who i've pvp with/against thats on that list so far. They know the in and outs of pvp, and the facts of pvp etc... Probably more than me.

This is a helluva idea and I commend you for this Lady & Mage.
I have nothing but appreciation for the advocation of PvP of any sort in this game.

I agree there are people on that list who have some great pvp experience. The idea behind this is to teach new players about team pvp, but experienced players will still be challanged through the matches. Also, arena team pvp is different than dueling and zone, just like farming and task forces are different in pve. Currently this will act as a single team who do internals (you practice against each other mixing teammates to make fair sides). As things progress we'll look for people who are interested and whom we feel would be ready in taking a higher role within the group.

To be somewhat clear, I'm not necessarily looking to become the best pvp'er...I just like to do things with people (especially with people that I know/team with often)...used to kickball in the PI arena when that was going on (years and years ago).

Just here to have fun...so watch out or I'll totally win with my SO'ed out Storm/Psy Defender or my 'missing a few enhancements' Broadsword/Shield Scrapper!

I made a SG on the test server to represent Liberty, Liberty Squad - PvP. You can join if you want. There is some IOs in the base like lotgs, numina/miracles, glad armor/shield wall procs etc, for pvp purposes.

I'm glad you took the initiative to do such a thing, but I wish you had spoken about it with me earlier because I've already made a base with 200 IOs in it I do believe that sg name is a more fitting though, and I do plan on using the LB channel.

I've recently been talking to a few friends in game about starting to PvP. I've never done it here in CoH. But when I was playing Star Wars Galaxies I got pretty hardcore into it. There's about 6 of us who are interested in it. Some of it as a change of pace, some to get certain recipes, others just for the action. I might try and set up TC to come check it out. Won't be this month though.

Yup, Liberty Squad - PvP has 1.3mill prestige... I need to sell somethings and keep on copying over to do the conversion for the prestige. (made the sg day or 2 ago.)

How was the turnout? I used to team arena pvp back in the day on my Thugs/Storm and Bots/TA. I had my Thugs/FF all pimped out before everything went to ****.

I'd join if it were a Villain or mixed team.

I taught Matt everything he knows, true story.

It was a good turnout even though it was the first day of it. We had about 10-12 shows. We did about 5 arena matches within 2hours team arena.

Day one- We worked on team calling/targeting and the basics of team arena.

Nice, sounds good. Hopefully everyone gets along and sticks with it. Keep it up.
