Since I tend to host a LOT of ITFs, I'd thought I should simply add a thread for when I run one (on FNV, natch). So for the first ITF on this thread, I'm calling all of Australia out, 'cause I'm gonna need your help!!

A +4 ITF will start 6:30 West Australia/8:30 AEST Friday, June 18th, to be hosted by yours truly. This will be an absolute mess, so I want to make it clear - bring your best, most IO-decked-out toon for this, 'cause we ain't gonna make it otherwise!

Please use this thread for indicating your interest, and what toon you want to play. Remember, we'll need the best of the best, AND a well-constructed team, to pull this one off!

Sounds fun! I would bring Oedipus Tex, Mind/Fiery Dominator, and quite adept at sleeping multiple AVs to make the final fight that much easier. I'll confirm again later in the week.

That might be fun. My stoney is currently stuck on Justice and needs something to do.

I'll check whats going on next Friday and get back to you.

im always up for an ITF but the time has me to coem to e away when im backiwill be using my healer (empathy/DP (most team so its a empathy most powers ) and i will be working on a new MM in jsutie

I know you are calling out all of Australia, but you really mean justice server right?

The +4 ITF went very nicely until the final battle, which proved somewhat difficult as people quit the team.

I determined the issue I was having sleeping the Nictii, the healing one will trigger its heal even when asleep, and that's what was waking them up (should have realized that immediately) which means I have to position myself so that I'm not in range of the healer, but am in range of one of the others. A little tricky since they like to all move to the same spot. Probably the easiest tactic is to use Rommi as the sleep target, and then pull the nictus away to fight instead.

Ack, that would explain a lot of what went wrong. Alas, it was not the only thing, so I think I owe everyone here an apology for running that TF without a solid end-game plan. We did well - FRIGHTENINGLY so - until we ran into Romi and his amazing friends.

Perhaps I'll try again another week. But not this week.

Hi I am in Sydney but I work nights so I play on Triumph usually. I wouldn't mind doing stuff on Friday nights though. I did join some friends for a bit and I have now inherited their VG and I could bring over 1 or 2 high level toons from Triumph.

I've been on 6 or 7 successful ITF's and always we would have 3 or 4 damage dealers who would stack on Rommie 5 times. The first 2 times are tough of course but as long as the dps is good enough you will always win. Sleeps and holds are great for controlling the ambushes.

A most humble and sincere apology for the failed effort on Friday. Having people leaving was part of the problem, but not bringing enough damage was, as your host, MY fault. That being said, I will run another ITF soon - maybe this Sunday - but I don't think I'm gonna try for a +4 ITF until I join one.

Guess what time it is? Yup, ITF time again. This time, I'm not gonna be suicidal and run the whole ITF at +4. Hear me out.

Recently, I ran a Silver Mantis on FNV. But due to the fact that I had not changed my diff since the last ITF, we started doing the Silver Mantis at +4. This was a gruelling challenge that dramatically lengthened the whole SF, so, after the first mish, I dropped the diff down to +0.

This got me thinking about the failed +4 ITF. If you can drop the difficulty after each mission, how would it work? Even a +2 Requiem and +1 Nictus Rommi is a challenge for a good team now, so...

Introducing the 'staircase' ITF! The Oracle mission will be done at +4, the Shadow Cyst mission at +3, the Computer console mission at +2 and the final mission at +1. I think this will be an interesting challenge for all - a progressively easier TF that has a rough start and a still difficult ending.

Because the entire ITF is not being done at +4, those who are capable of entering an ITF but are not level 50 WILL BE ADMITTED. I'll run with my namesake for simplicity - that guarantees one level 50 toon will be on the team. And since this will be run this Friday night at 6 pm AEST (7 Tokyo), you've got plenty of warning as to whom you wish to bring.

OK ill bring my SD/Axe tank as its the only toon that can do a Master run (currently though am working on IOing my Brute and getting others to 50 -damn altitis).

At least there are no Pylons for this one

Alas, this past Friday our plans of doing a MoITF fell - when, of all things, I died during the computer controller bit - getting perpetually knocked down and preventing me from swallowing my candy to keep me alive. (Mine was not the only death - we had to restart 2 times due to deaths on the first mission due to ambushes!)

This led to a completed ITF, but not a MoITF. I'm sorry, gang.

Even with the 3 failed attempts I had a fun night. Sure the badge would have been good but I team for the team 1st. Badges come a far distant 4th (after Merits/drops, or even 5th after XP for non-50 toons).

Well, we ran the staircase ITF with almost no level 50s - the joys of being the leader of the pack - and when people indicated that we need to speed things up, the last 2 mishes of the staircase ITF were ran at +0 for simplicity. But we successfully completed the ITF, and I'd like to thank

Our group had 2 trollers, 2 doms, a tank, a blaster and 2 scrappers. We had just enough debuff to totally GRAPE Romi in the end.

Friday, December 24, 8:30 pm. I understand exactly when this is, so we'll see who shows up. I understand if you have family commitments as well.

If we don't get enough people to show up, I'll postpone this until January 14. The reason is that December 31, I will be on a 25-hour train ride from Sapporo coming back home, and am not going to make it back in time. As well, January 7th I need to head into Tokyo for work (instead of teaching at school), and can't guarantee that I will be back in time to run events on that day.
