I don't honestly expect to get the inf back, but I do want to make sure people are warned and the devs are aware.

If you list multiple items, it gives the total fee, not the per item.
What you saw is a rare-ish, but still too common, bug with the new market interface. It may be related to network latency - the new interface definitely has some lag related issues. Unfortunately, when this issue pops up, there's no way to tell until it's too late.
Hopefully when the GMs get to your ticket, they'll be able to reimburse you.

I was trying to post a military cybernetic redside for 3mil. It posted my 4 luck charms, *6* items down, for 3mil each. The warning box still only warned it was going to cost me 150,000, which I knew. But it ended up costing 600,000. |
I'd suggest waiting a moment and being sure that the chat window reports that the item you placed in the market slot has actually been placed in the market, rather than relying solely on what the interface is showing you. I'd also suggest when the warning first pops up, selecting Don't Show Again on the warning prompt, clicking No, and not posting the item. Then after the prompt closes, post the item for sale.

This ones caused me a number of wrong listings and has gotten me stuck with a bug to boot. Basically I was selling and item at the bottom of my list but it actually listed the items way up near the top of my list. This caused me to sell a stack of items cheaper than desired, AND caused the total of the sales to be over 2 billion inf. So I cant even collect the inf at this point since it wont let me as I cant hold over 2 billion. Royal suckage all around.
Petition filed - crossing fingers. I am doubting they'll reverse the sales as desired though.

Yes, this is an issue known among at least some players, though your heads-up on it is still appreciated. I've /bugged this in game and sent a PM to redname devs (who responded) so hopefully it'll get some attention.
Here's a workaround I've been using, and since I started doing this, I have not had this bug reoccur.
When you get a warning prompt from the market, either for a large fee or for "useful salvage", click to enable the "Don't tell me again" radio button, and then click the "No" button, which will abort the market action you were doing. Then re-do what you were trying to do (either drag salvage to the market, or post a listing). This time you will get no prompt, and, in my experience, the market won't list the wrong item.

The fact that you can't claim stuff in a slot that sells for a stack total over two billion is mind-boggling to me. We even warned them about that one in beta when they added the feature that prevents you from overflowing your inf. Selling, say, a whole stack of ten 250M inf items means you can't claim that stack ever.

I'm glad to hear that the rednames know about it. That honestly was my biggest concern. If I see the inf again, wonderful. If not.... at least I had enough to finish buying SOs. (Saving up for recipes)
