You know what's like pulling herded cats' teeth?
Nice work. I think when I left for work this morning I still had about 220 or so hours to go for mine.

gratz!!
ok, i'm still pretty new to this so bear with me.
This was hard because it's a debt badge on your petless mastermind, meaning you hard to farm dmg on a single toon up to 100mil points of dmg?
The part I don't understand is how this is harder than doing it on a normal single toon like a stalker.

basically, if you see a miki on Triumph, it's probably cute and it's probably me.
Huge thanks to cuppamanga and all the folks in the mac help forum for prolonging my borrowed time on this game.
Masterminds have the lowest base hit points with only 803.2 at level 50. That lower HP makes you more susceptible to being faceplanted while you soak up the damage, so you have to pick an enemy that doesn't do as much damage as one you might use if you had higher HP.
For example, I'm currently using a single level 51 CoT Guide and just barely managing to out regenerate the damage he does per swing. By comparison, I liked using a level 52 Council Mk II Zenith Warcry when I was going after the damage badges on my Tank.
It's not that it's necessarily harder to get the damage badges with a Mastermind, it's just a more time consuming process because you have to take in damage at a slower rate.

thanks!
if you have pets tho, would it then be easier than a solo toon?

I'm curious-say you make a 2nd build (alternate build) just for this purpose. You specifically slot NO IO sets, so as to avoid any +health. IIRC, you need to overcome any +health from accolades and/or sets before the damage even STARTS to count towards your damage badges, no?
Okay, so you swap to your 2nd build, get yourself set up. Get your badge. Now, you swap back to your main build that is all purpled out. ;^)
Is that kosher-can it be done that way? It SEEMS like it's viable. Just curious because I have several characters that have some pretty big +health bonuses, which would make this much much harder to get. Thoughts?
Basically too many 50's to count, but I'm generally a brute/scrapper/tank kind of guy.
yeah, you can do that to help the progress go a little faster. So the only thing that would be in your way are the HP bonuses from the accolades, if you've gotten them already.

ah, thanks. for some reason, i thought the damage the pets take count towards your overall.

Add in any +HP bonuses and you'll likely not do enough to even touch your base HP.

This MUST be counting additional HP, because Mastermind only gets 802 by default, which means I got more progress per swing than I would have been able to take total if the extra HP wasn't counting towards the badge.
This is no longer true. Any +HP set bonuses or accolades no longer count against progress towards damage badges. The level 52 Guide I was getting hit by dealt 1028 damage per swing, and my progress bar went up by 1028 every time I got hit.

Say you have, with bonuses, 1,100 HP. If you get hit for only 50 HP damage, none of it counts. However if you get hit for 300 HP all of it counts as it has made it past the "entry" requirements to count. This has been documented in the badge section for over a year now.

Ah, that explanation makes sense to moi, Snow. So it's a threshold...pass the threshold, and it'll count. Fall short of that +HP threshold, and it won't.

Took a while, but now I can say I've done it and never ever do it again.
