Protector Calendar / Protector Vigilance Channel
Added this to the original post, for the sake of making things easier to find for seekers:
The Protector Vigilance channel always tries to maintain current event headlines in it's MOTD (Message of the Day), and also has this page's URL and Twitter info. At the time of this writing, it is in the top 15 for global channel activity on all servers (averaging 12, between 10-15).
█ Players Guide to the Cities
I've modified the Weekly Strike Target reminders to occur only once (12 hours prior), instead of twice (12 and 48 hours prior).
█ Players Guide to the Cities
New URL redirector had to be chosen since the previous one's domain disappeared.
The calendar can be reached at protectorvigilance.has.it

I believe that Emperor Cole would like to add something to the Events Calendar.
PRAETORIAN INVASION
Can anyone tell me what this week, and perhaps next week's' Strike Target is/are?
█ Players Guide to the Cities
Never mind. Found it.
Something else - For those accessing the calendar:
Do you prefer WSTs announced in one continuous event spread across the week, or multiple repeated entries?
For Twitter followers, the difference is one reminder at the start of the WST, or a daily reminder.

I am trying out a new format for the calendar.
Well, more of an interface for it since it is basically a website based off a simple template. The intent is to keep it simplistic. The supergroup links are a possible addition to the left side panel.

This will go live soon, replacing the current one. URLs will remain the same.
Thoughts and suggestions welcome.

- The Calendar shows "Rush the Rikti" tonight at 8PM (oh my god, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late !), but the description states "Scheduled for 9PM EST". Pro'lly just a typo, easily fixed...
EDIT: hummm... 9 PM EST, and we're in EDT (daylight saving time) now... could be the reason why...
- ... but hey, there's a map link - I could really use a good map of the Rikti War Zone...
Alas, that was not to happen:
And I thought you could find anything in Google !

Hey Arch, thanks for the feedback.
Rush the Rikti is a ... shall we say "particular" event in that it is officially scheduled for 9, but people start showing up waaaaaay before that time and hence the runs tend to start earlier than the official time. This was done with Drake Crator a few months back.
As for the map thing... that's what happens when you enter something in the "where" field. Google links it up to Google Maps. Funny.
But more about this: would that be a feature that would be good to have, a link to Vidiotmaps or Paragon Wiki?

Stone Daemon joins the calendars editors as of today.
This will simplify his sharing info on Kheldian Fridays, the current Laylapalooza and other upcoming events he's been handling.

While on the calendar subject, wasn't the Weekly Kheldian SuperTeam Task Force canceled? It looks like it's still on the calendar.

I've removed it as I typed this up.

Thanks Stale. I hope to do many more events like this in the future, it's so much fun giving back to our awesome community and making things more fun for the average player. Hope to see ya'll at laylapalooza!
Here's a couple more calendar issues. RTR it listed at 8 pm when it's 9 pm Eastern. Mean Monday is listed at 7 pm when it's at 8 pm. That's assuming Eastern time like is printed at the bottom.

I will correct it.

Thanks,

RtR, as Drake mentioned, had been placed at 8PM, but with an indication that the official starting time was still 9PM. IIRC there had been an issue with people starting it earlier and earlier as the zone filled and creating confusion.
I think that notice was only in the event details, so "glancers" would have missed it.
As for Kult's Mean Monday, I see the event as created by her directly at that time. I hesitate to change it but... let's pester her until she does.
Also, and I can't believe I forgot to mention this earlier: StarGeek is now an editor for the website the calendar is embedded into (link in my sig). Thanks for volunteering / caving in. Your experience and keen eye for spotting improvements are much appreciated.

Nope - I'm not dead yet.
I've updated the Protector Calendar with the March 2012 Weekly Strike Targets.
The event details might contain important information, so be sure to look them over, just in case.
█ Players Guide to the Cities
Given the lackluster success of this project, I will be abandoning it.
If someone else would like to pick it up and try their hand at it, please let me know and we'll work out how best to do this.
█ Players Guide to the Cities
Weekly Strike Targets added.
Up to April for now, others as they occur.
