Post i17 Massive Stuttering
your computer far exceeds the min specs for the old processing mode.
It does NOT meet the specs for Ultra Mode. I suspect you are trying to run Shadow Maps, Environmental Reflections, and or ambient occlusion.
I did not ask for clarification if my computer can run ultra mode , If my computer could not meet the requirements then obviously it would have all sorts of lag and crash issues hence be unplayable .
I mentioned in my post that the only issues I was experienceing was stuttering and hitching , I've not had any experiences with lag nor crashes , and also environmental reflections and shadows maps have remained at the default levels and ambient occlusion has not even been enabled .
Instead of pointing at my computer for the problems why not offer some helpful suggestions which clearly you have not demonstrated , If you have no advice that will help me with this issue rather then criticize then I suggest you don't bother posteing in this thread .
In ultra mode my fps runs about 40 fps but I'm having massive hitching and stuttering issues |

Now, you can be rude if you want, but I told you what was going on. Now if you want to run ultra mode, Upgrade your Graphics Card. That's the suggestion. That's the answer.

The RadeonHD 4670 is capable of processing OpenGL 3.x API calls, which Ultra Mode leverages.
It, however, IS NOT FAST ENOUGH TO RUN THEM AT A DECENT FRAMERATE.
Which is why your Framerate is stuttering and hitching.

Your card cannot handle: "on'
Turn them off, and read above.

Unfortantly, you DID ask whether or not your computer can run Ultra Mode. You said this:
Then you proceeded to post your computer specs. Your computer does not meet the min requirements for Ultra Mode. Period. Now, you can be rude if you want, but I told you what was going on. Now if you want to run ultra mode, Upgrade your Graphics Card. That's the suggestion. That's the answer. BZZZZT! WRONG!!! Default levels is still "on" Your card cannot handle: "on' Turn them off, and read above. I did give you the answer in my first post. Your computer does not meet the requirements for Ultra Mode. |
So it looks like you're wrong and you need to check that ego at the door ,
cause it's clear that my computer can run in ultra mode , So let's see my graphic card wasn't the problem nor but rather aa and af settings itself in ccc .
So we both know who is wrong and your replies never really helped for that matter and were just basically nothing but criticism and counter productive . And now i am going to report this post be closed so I don't have to deal with your continued flaming which doesn't help I might add
You may want to at least consider what Je Saist has said before you call it flaming. Je Saist ran all sorts of different tests on at least a couple different lines of cards during i17 Beta and I for one respect her (i think her? never asked, lol) opinion, not to mention knowledge of this game and how it works "under the hood", so to speak. Its great that you managed to sort out your problem, and in fact what you did to fix your issue may help with the intermittent stuttering I've dealt with at times. But its no reason for you to rip into Je Saist with that attitude. Just my two bits though.
I won't rip into someone as long as they actually have something worth contributeing which clearly wasn't the case . And I'm not going to take your word that je's known his stuff simply because it hasn't been shown .
The only thing that happened here was someone criticized my computer for the problems I have been experenceing hence counter productive , And you're saying I have a bad attitude wow that's really some two cents .
Now I can understand why some are reluctant to come to these forums . And I'll do myself a favor and save myself the trouble of being flamed and criticized since all it does is cause arguments
Recommended PC "Ultra Mode" System Requirements:
- OS: Microsoft® Windows® XP/Vista/7
- Processor: Intel® or AMD Dual Core processor or higher
- RAM: 4 GB RAM or more
- Video: NVIDIA® GeForce 8 Series (or higher), ATI Radeon® HD 2000 Series (or higher)
- Hard Drive Space: 6 GB Available HDD Space
- Internet: Broadband
- Input: Keyboard and Mouse
Let's see... Dual Core CPU? Check. 4 GB of RAM? Check. ATI Radeon HD 2000 Series or higher? Check.
His machine not only exceeds the minimum specs, it meets the "recommended" ones. Are these "recommended" specs questionable? Yeah, sure. (ATI Radeon HD 2000 Series? Seriously?) But you're way off base stating that his machine is below the minimum specs "period", as the devs say otherwise.
