Zone loading screenshots

Please update the screenshots used in the zone loading screens for ultra mode graphics. It's weird to see shadowless scenes with jello water when, in-game, it looks much better... at least on my comp since some out there are still running minimum. And I just have high performance occlusion and ultra water, not everything on full.

If you're going to update the graphics, go ahead and update the other instances where it's shown off.

Been asked for a good bit recently - with some people absolutely adamant that it's a "waste of time" for some reason. I'd like to see it myself.

That said, I believe Leandro put up some newer "shiny" loading screens recently, easy to install.

I must have missed that post of his. But if they are, then I have nothing else to say here.

/cd /home/HAL/Music
/amarok -p Daisy-Bell.flac

okay. Since I've actually been asked about this by more than just Thirty-Seven and Decorum below, here's the explanation
Quote:
/cd /home/HAL/Music
In most Desktop Linux's the users's account is placed on a separate partition under /home.
The resulting file structure is /home/(username)
cd stands for change directory

The implication is that HAL is running the command to change to his music directory

Quote:
/amarok -p Daisy-Bell.flac
Amarok is widely considered to be one of the best music management systems available, with it's old 1.4 version often being compared to Apple's Itunes... and winning. Although I'm not sure I'd say that about the current 2.0 branch...
Anyways, the command amarok -p instructs Amarok to play a music file
.flac is the free lossless audio codec, a patent free and royalty free audio compression container.
Daisy-Bell is the name of the song that HAL 9000 plays as he's being shut down.

***

So, the two lines basically say:

HAL changes to his music directory
HAL plays the Daisy Bell Song.

I'm a very pathetic geek. My computer's name is HAL 9000 and it's loaded up with HAL's voice instead of the default sounds.

And even I don't get that last part either.

Dec out.

I crossposted the post in Dave's art thread too. Got a pretty awesome response. For those who haven't seen it, look!

Yes, in this post. But since David posted that new "official" loading screens are coming up, I stopped making them.
