The Merit Vendor?

I'm a RiteNAO guy, but when something is listed at abnormally high prices, I'll spend Merits (or an Alignment Merit) to get the exact recipe at the exact level. I've got over 2,000 Merits on my Main.

The ZombieCountermeasure to Goatrule#1 is: Run TFs regularly and befriend a Merit Vendor.

Multiple Girl II (MG on Virtue) recently spent 5100 merits on a new build... ^_^

Now if you ask me, that's 5100 merits that you could have used to greater effect -- if you'd taken a week or two, you might have bought that build several times over. But that's me, and that's not doing it NAO.

I have about 600 merits on Nina and about 1200 on Tiffany though. Nice to have those lying around for when you need them!

Hmm, this was something I was pondering this afternoon. I have a level 24 BS/SD scrapper I was about to delete (last logged in 219 days ago) when I noticed he had 7060 AE tickets on him. I decided to roll bronze 15-19 as has been suggested, and have been outright deleting recipes that had 0 bids/0 listed as slow movers. Then I started pondering if this weren't a chicken-and-egg conumdrum: Are there no listings because no one buys, or is it that no one can buy what isn't listed?

on the flip side, some of those recipes were listed last night at 55 inf, and didn't sell.

Maybe I'll craft some and see what happens. LOTS of Crushing Blow and [whatever the other, similar-sounding melee set is] as well as Serendipity and resist sets. Oh and Triage and some Doctored Wounds. The holds/sleeps/etc still get trashed :P

Careful what you trash. One of your demographics for low-level recipes are people making exemp-friendly builds. If a set has useful bonuses you may snatch a decent premium even if it's not the greatest set ever.

Bronze 15-19 is a good realm. But not when you are generating lvl 24s. The good recipes cap at 30 and are either procs (or -knockback, etc., which i consider procs) Or have other bonuses. I have noticed (after trying to generate a market at lvl 15 and 20 for the "good stuff") that most of the bronze 15-19 recipes sell best at level 10 and level 30. Over 10-15 for the proc-types is "not good enough" for people who want to kite out their lowbies, and under 30 is "not good enough" for those who plan on levelling higher than 30.

My instinct would be to level to 30 by hell or high water and then cash in those tickets.

Just popping in to comment that I just read this last night. Most of this stuff seems common sense to me, though. But even then, I was still surprised.

That last rule kind of gave me the idea to look into crafting lvl 50 set IOs, so I search for which have decent set boni, which have demand greater than its supply (or no supply or demand) and at a rate that can at least break me even with craft costs/salvage. I ended up making some Curtail Speed and Stupefy sets just to test this.

Of course, with the going rate of salvage, some of the IOs cost over 3mil to craft and sell so I put them up for around 6mil. Over a nap, I sold all my Stupefys for 20mil each which just happened to be the going rates for those. I guess I could have made more but I'm not greedy, I just need the cash to get a few high-dollar enhancements. So thanks for the info
