I actually made an elec/Energy Aura stalker the other day. Decided that the AoE heal end recovery would be better suited for Elec's AoE's.

Can someone explain the reason for taking stealth with a stalker, I just use an +stealth IO.
You might want to try and build your defs up a bit, you are getting 1.88 to all from hide when it is suppressed. And do you have a planned attack chain? If you can get your defs up to soft cap, your 47, and 49 powers really aren't necessary.
For PvP, it is smart to take stealth. Pretty much, if some one has a +percep power, they will be able to see through stealth easily. For PvE, just hide is fine. The only things that can see through hide ignore stealth completely so taking stealth doesn't help at all. Another nice thing about taking stealth is for phase shift, which can help you get out of tight situations (if your defense gets neutered by debuffs).
As for your build BLYKYMK. It's not horrible, but it's also not omptimal. As Katt said, you are not completely soft capped. I was wondering, were you going for +acc bonuses? Because several (I'm looking at Thunderstrike, Red Fortune and Crushing Impact) sets you stopped before getting to their best bonuses. Shadow Meld and Kuji-In Retsu are more or less redundant. If you are going to keep Soul Mastery, I would drop Kuji-In Retsu. Shadow Meld would be a good power to pop if you start getting hit by defense debuffs (I'm Looking at you Roman). Stealth likes to drain your endurance. I would definitely slot it for end reds. Soul Storm actually does more damage than Dark Blast, I would slot for dmg :O. If you feel the need for a 20 second hold, Placate does a lot better at that, cause one application can 'hold' a boss. Are you stuck on Soul Mastery? Or was it just something you wanted to try out? I would definately say go Leviathan Mastery because of the Water Spot -Res happiness you can drop on AVs, and the Sharks >Om Nom< you can drop in PvP.

Wouldn't a +stealth still be better than a power pick if you are not going for phase shift?
Can have Stealth + Stealth Proc + Hide gives you 1189 ft of stealth. Still not capped at level 50. That means that if some one does have capped perception, then your screwed still.

Well I found a way of getting more AoE defense up.
Im sitting at 44.81% Melee, 43.61% Ranged, 44.11% AoE. Counting on the -To hit of AS and Dark Melee a little, so I feel that the numbers are fine. (Also if I randomly get a Gladiator's Armor +3% def, then I will be home free).

I feel we are trying to strip this beast down for the best combo for playstyle. We have all played around with it enough to come up with some great ideas. Whats the PVP potential of these? Never been much of a PVPer, but thinking about giving it a shot.
Build for +Ranged Defense if you want to PvP. Leviathan, maybe Soul patron. You want stealth and phase shift. Also SS and SJ is great to chase people. The PvP game is really almost completely Chase and Run away. Most of the time you won't have enough time to AS people and DR sucks so bad for every one. Wish they hadn't dragged down every one into the mud in order to 'balance'. One of the only things that is not affected by DR is +acc bonuses. So all defense based sets are screwed. It takes about 100% defense in PvE to be soft capped in PvP. Kuji-In Retsu is pretty much needed to get that much defense. Grab the Force of Nature and Demonic Aura Accolades to help in that regard. Elusivisity has been nerfed in PvP so don't get your hopes up that that will help. Soooo yeah.

I have about 125% ranged def in PvE on my SR scrapper and in PvP I am reduced to about 50%.
The reason ranged def is preferable to Melee or AoE is because most of the things in PvP are running and shooting at you. Also, if you do AS and follow up, You will most likely need to run to escape any vengeance. You will regain hidden status if you don't get hit.

Fly will make you cry in PvP.
Most likely want Kuji-In Retsu to PvP.
Mag 10 KB prot is what most Mez Prot toggles give, so I would say you only need 3 +4 Mag KB prot IOs.
I have heard that Thunder Strike has the potential to double Crit, making it a friggin awesome PvP attack.
You have no ranged attack, which will make it harder to kill kiting Blasters and Defenders.
Glad Armor's Proc is currently running at about 3-4 billion inf a piece. Good luck even finding one.

I have a friend who offered to finance the build. Movement is easy to change, and i was told to try for 41 kb
Not exactly sure why.
I did not check every power, but the largest I saw was mag KB was Mag 14. Power Push.

Just updating my build since I recently hit 50 on my stalker, and wanted to update yall. After 50 levels of playing my stalker, I decided that build my stalker to be able to kill AVs was not what I really wanted. The low HP cap of stalkers made it very easy to get one-hit-killed by the myriad of AVs out there that did double-typed damage. So I went with a cheaper, more fun build that picked up the fun highlights of the /nin set.

Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.
I have a friend who offered to finance the build. Movement is easy to change, and i was told to try for 41 kb

Not exactly sure why.
I did not check every power, but the largest I saw was mag KB was Mag 14. Power Push. Note: Power Boost does not effect KB any more. |
Force Bolt (for Defenders) does mag 18.7 KB base; fully slotted with Kinetic Crash that's up to 51.2 pre-diminishing returns. iirc DR drops it down somewhat.
For a more prevalent threat, Power Thrust (for Blasters) is a base 16 KB, with the Kinetic Crash set it's at 43.8 pre-DR.
A high mag KB provides several seconds where you can't do anything - pop greens, run, try to activate powers, etc. - and being vulnerable like that will get you killed in a spike.
That's why people recommend high KB protection - 41-ish is a little higher than what a DR'd Power Thrust will do.
So what about the armor sets that only offer 10 points? They have 10,000% KB resistance, which drops any resistable KB effect (there are some in PvE that aren't resistable) to under 1 point, safely in the "harmless" category.
Electric Armor has higher mag protection in Grounded, but no resistance unless Power Surge is active (when you also end up with an extra 100 pts of protection anyway), so /ElA can still get knocked around fairly easily.
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

So, I've got a DM/NIN stalled at 47, just ran out of "fun" for him. But, looking to finish him up and may take him blueside for something different.
One thing I'm trying to do is keep it as "affordable" as possible based on what he already had. Would you consider a 3rd set of ToD in Shadow Maul acceptable to replace the Multi-Strike? He's already 6-slotted w/ 3 sets, figured I'd avoid changing this unless there's a reason you can think of? I relalize it won't make a huge $ difference, but sometimes every bit counts.

Oh, Pine, since this toon will start of with Going Rogue, I decided to play around with the flavor of the month, elec/nin. So far it's really fun, it's not dark but it's fun.
