Mean Month of May! - TF Scramble

Been a long week. Wanted to get this out before last weekend. Sorry for the delay! SO... CONTEST TIME!

The TF Scramble consists of 4 Task Forces:

Positron 1
Positron 2
Imperious Task Force
Statesman Task Force

Teams will do all 4 TF - the winning team is determined by lowest total time of all TFs with a +2 min penalty for EACH death. Task Forces do not have to be completed all in one sitting since it is a total for each TF time.

TF will be run on standard difficulty. (+0x0)

Rules for teams: The teams must remain the same on each TF (# of members ; characters used) this keeps a bit of consitancy across the board.

Each team will have a captain - the captain does not have to be the leader of the TF - the captain will be responsible for taking a screen shot that includes the TF complete screen screen with time and deaths. The screen shot should also include the team window to verify team.

Once the teams have been set and a captain picked for them I will PM them my email address to send the screenies.

I'd like to have at least 3 teams competing but will be ok with a head to head.

In the rare event of a tie - a 5th TF will be added randomly (no Shadow Shard TFs will be included)

Since I slacked I was going to have it end on May 31st, but I'll extend the deadline til June 11th

Since there is a deadline in the future you have time to run the TF more than once..if you feel your time or deaths weren't great, you can re run as long as you have not submitted the screen shot. ONCE THE SCREENIE IS IN - THE RESULT IS FINAL

EDIT: Ok nevermind, I just re-read the original post and realised how the time will be working. I am interested if a team will have me. I am east coast, just in case you needed to know what time frame I need to work with.

I would love the opportunity to join this, but the scheduling difficulties I would present would pretty much knock the team I joined out of the contest.

Ok... so instead of just sitting here and waiting for someone to do something about it (the clock is ticking, ya?), I'm throwing my hat in the ring. I'm forming team number 1 for this contest. I'm assuming it has to be a 8 man team since it's 8 to start the STF?

I'm available mostly week ends, and a few hours on week nights. I can sqeeze a TF in during the week, if its between 7-7:30PM to 10PM eastern. Week ends are open as long as it's planned a few days in advance.

Well sign me up Oz. Lil' Yeti, lvl 50 tank ss/inv. I am available same times as you as I too am east coast. I am not around this weekend but am available tonight, tomorrow and then anytime next week from Tuesday on.

I understand if you want to run some stuff this long weekend so if you cant pick me up its cool

I seriously gave thought to starting another team, juuuuust to compete with Oz and make things more interesting, but I'll hop in instead.

I can bring in a tanker, a blaster or a scrapper.

I'll also talk to Cassiopea and see if she's interested after I explain the requirements.

She has a few defenders and trollers, and I believe some scrappers that could join.

I'm interested, Kulty, but I don't know if I can find an 8-man team willing to run the same toons for four different TFs. All my friends (and I) are altaholics.

Started this today with Talbein Vikshus as captain. Having a lot of fun and good luck to all who are doing this!

Our TF Scramble team was heckuva lot of fun and I think everybody else on the team had a blast too. We managed to pull off all 4 tfs in one day. We knocked out Posi Pt1, Pt2 and the ITF in one session. Had a small break and then knocked out the STF.

I have the team screenshots with the requisite information just need to know where to send them to. I don't believe we'll re-run any portion of it but ya never know since June 11 is the deadline for submission.

Other thoughts:
I think everyone had a great time and the backdrop of the contest just gave people additional focus to run those particular tfs. I think its safe to say, people loves some merit! I know some would have loved to use various alts on the tfs but we managed to get past it.

Maybe we'll see more types of these contests (or variations) in the future. I really enjoyed the scramble!

If I could get the 4 peeps I was thinking of (2 of which are confirmed), these are the peeps I'm used to doing MoTFs and speed runs with. So I aint too worried

...Unless of course I can't reach them!

EDIT: One of them answered my text, she's real busy lately and can only get on for short periods on week ends, trying to fix something up now!
