How tough is your pet?

My Grav/Rad troller's Singularity was having difficulty keeping bosses held and was not able to solo one until recently. I picked up 2 hamios, a mez/accuracy and a mez/damage. After slotting those my Singy was able to solo an even con death mage and then an even con war hulk. It's a somewhat slow process but he can keep them held about 60% of the time and can can "arrest" them slowly but surely. Note that no aid in any form was given to Singy and no debuffs were applied to his opponents. This experience made me wonder what other pets can do. So please feel free to comment on the following or any other pet related goodness.

2. What the largest spawn your pet has soloed?
3. What pet would kick booty in a pet vs pet Arena match? I'm sure someone has tested this!

5. If you could pair any one pet with any one build what would it be?

1. When I was testing his limits, I got my Earth/Kins Animated Stone to solo quite a few bosses. The toughest was probably a Malta Gunslinger. Took aaaages though. Someting I did think was awesome though: while not soloing, he did tank Reichsman for about half the fight in a KTF. Granted, Reichs was debuffed, I was just amused to see Stony and him slugging it out in the middle of the podium

2. I've never really tested pets vs a whole spawn, but an Animated Stone could probably work his way through a 2-3 man spawn. It depends on what he's fighting. Imps by themselves could do enough damage to kill a 6man spawn, but no way would they survive the attempt Maybe one of the MM tier3 pets could solo a pretty big spawn, like the Assault Bot or Demon Prince.

3. Probably the Assault Bot. It's got Burn patches which would drive all other pets bonkers and has hefty ranged damage with a -regen debuff to boot.

4. That's a tough question Probably Fire Imps. I love the psychotic little buggers. Or Dark Servant, he does no significant damage but neuters spawns.

5. I'd probably pair Fire Imps with Dark Miasma. The safety of Dark would mean the Imps aggroing everything in sight wouldn't matter

My Fluffy soloed a white minion once!

1. don't have the patience to let my pets do all the work

3. Phantom army PWNS all they are unbeatable literally
4. Dark servant
5. Fire imps with fire armor cause it would be awesome and fire armor would take its damage crown from shield defense back.

One of my fire imps soloed STF Lord Recluse, by the definition of soloing some people in this topic use.

3) The Lich.

For me, soloing is just one single pet. At most, I could agree fire imps or MMs tier1 or 2 might count as "one" because it's one power, but anything over that and that's not really soloing anymore. YMMV.

I don't know why would I specifically target you. I don't even know you. I actually misread Silas' post and missed the "while not soloing" part, so was refering at least two different posts ; regardless, I answer to posts and not people, doing that is just turning a conversation into something personal.

Here's a dictionary definition that fits my own understanding of what soloing is : any performance, mountain climb, or other undertaking carried out by an individual without assistance from others.

So, buffed pets, debuffed foes (from other pets/players), insps given to pets, aggro held by other player/pets, all of this isn't soloing in my opinion.

I would say upgrading the pet is alright, since it just unlocks more powers for the pet. Doing it without upgrades would just be more of an achievement, but no more valid.

It's just external buffs/debuffs/whatever that would make it not soloing, imo at least.

Edit: I'd include stuff like Serum/Hell on Earth/Smoke Flash as external buffs, even though they're in the same set as their respective pets.

What about the MM's inherent power, Supremacy? Supremacy gives +tohit and +dam to your henchmen within 60'.
