Weapon Question: Rikti Katana Color?
Nope, can't change any of the katana's colors. It's still a neat weapon.

Sorry, but no. The complete list of katanas, including the customizable ones, can be found here: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Custom_Weapons#Katanas
Really simple, can someone please tell me if the Rikti Katana can have its colors changed? Can you change the blade color specifically?

From personal experience, though the wiki doesn't say specifically say so, I know you CAN also change the colors on the Vanguard Katana, and you CAN change the detail colors on Rularuu's Fang, though the blade itself will stay black.
I just checked, and you can NOT change the color of the Rikti Katana (though the Tailor UI lets you pick colors -- they just don't have any effect), and I don't have the Martial Arts booster pack to answer about the Chinese Broadsword.

While true, I don't believe Schismatrix Was referring to katanas is general when saying "Nope, can't change any of the katana's colors. It's still a neat weapon.", but to the Rikti Katana in particular.
Sorry, but again, no. You CAN change the colors of the Katana and Ninja blades (but NOT the Legacy models), the Fantasy Blade, and the Impervium Katana.

Sometimes you get the bear; sometimes he get you, rips your head off, sucks out your eyes, pulls out your spleen, humps your leg and pees in your boots
Man, I wish they would make it color changeable.
That's how I read it too. I know it is quite shocking to find someone who actually uses the "apostrophe S" for it's intended purpose as a possessive form indicator (as opposed to the morons who insist that it makes things plural).

My apologies -- I read that too fast, too early in the morning, and something about that sentence just didn't read quite right to me. Perhaps it was the "any of the" in the middle, but Schismatrix is/was right and I'm apparently overly pedantic and too full of extraneous details at 4 AM or whenever that was -- sorry!

Most of the unlockable weapon models that belong to NPC factions cannot be colored because the colors are part of the texture. The Devs gave us access to the same pieces that the NPCs use instead of building new versions of the NPC weapon for the players.
The Rulaaru, Vanguard and Roman unlockable pieces are exceptions to this because they were designed as pieces to be used by players from the start.
(Aside: i do have a bad habit of using apostrophes correctly, and i was referring specifically to the Rikti Katana in my last post in this thread. i even put the apostrophe after the "s" when indicating possessive plurals.
At this point it seems unlikely i'll ever break myself of the habit.
(Not capitalizing "I" when referring to myself is a signature affectation, not a literacy fail. Silly, i know.
