If nobody else can see it and it happened suddenly without any game updates it's probably your machine's fault. Or something else you installed. Too bad you can't post screen shots. Why can't you post screen shots?

#1 I can't get at them wherever the Mac version of the game hides them. Tried to follow the instructions a couple times, gave up.
#2 Nowhere to post them and I refuse to sign up for any more services. Got too dang many passwords to deal with as it is.
Reboot and verify files did nothing to clean it up. But zoning re-randomizes what objects get displayed. And it seems to be linked to specific body parts. Even at the tailor those pars are corrupted and don't have the properly functioning second colors/textures.

If your test server worked, that would point to an issue with your files you downloaded, so it would mean reinstalling the files again to get it to work.
Other than game files the only logical thing to blame would be 3d card drivers.
After reading your post though you say you want this bug fixed but you seem to be willing to do very little about it. No screenshots and not willing to try things mentioned, how can people help if your not willing to help yourself?
The same thing happened to me when I first started playing. Rikti were completely invisible except for their weapons. I thought they were just invisible like that. The problem is probably that your graphics card cant handle the game. Try playing in safemode and see if stuff starts appearing.

I did actually try to get test running, but it didn't work and I got frustrated. I have tried to follow the instructions to get at screenshots, but it didn't work and I got frustrated. Since I was messing with the game files, and near other applications, I got nervous. If I've tried and failed before, I'm generally not willing to try the same thing again, and I'm not keen to experiment because that has gone horribly awry in the past.
Someone suggested I search on recent images, I asked how to do that. the only search I know of is to put a word in the question box in the top of a folder and hit enter. I have no idea how to search for a photo. I'm glad to give it a shot, but I don't know how to do it. Here is the only way I can search:
Search Example I don't see any options for images and I have no idea what the CoH naming conventions are so no clue how to search by filename.
I did, I think, take some screenshots. Specifically I hit printscreen and the game slowed for a moment so I think I have them. I'd be glad to post them using the imageshack link kindly provided above.
On drivers, I have a 2007 iMac with an ATI Radeon HD2600. Drivers haven't changed in a while. I went to their website to see if I needed a new driver not long ago and was told that my OS updates handle it. Anything else I can try on this front?

Current convention on PCs is as follows:

That is the filename of a screenshot taken on 4/16/2010 at 11:18:27 p.m. The pattern should be fairly evident.

That is the filename of a screenshot taken on 8/17/2009 at 11:58:16 P.M.
File always starts with screenshot_10 for screenshots taken in 2010. ones taken in 2009 may be of 2 different formats, depending on date taken (The format of screenshot file names was changed sometime between 05/2009 and mid-08/2009). Old format as follows:
screenshot_2009-04-29-23-36-50.jpg
That is the filename of a screenshot taken on 4/29/2009 at 11:36:50 P.M.

But when I hit printscreen my game still pauses for just a moment, so I think it is taking the shot.
If I got the screenshot I think I did, my katamari-ball-brute shot is totally worth it. The others are good, that one is really cool.
Anyway, any other ideas I can try?

I got to thinking about this... I've got an older iMac (PPC based 2005 edition, can't run CoH unfortunately) and the Apple branded keyboard that came with it doesn't have a Print Screen key on it. So, if you are actually hitting Print Screen on YOUR keyboard, its probably not an Apple branded keyboard. Is this correct ?
My theory is that if you are using a non-Apple keyboard, OSX may not actually know what to do when you are hitting Print Screen (since it probably does not assume there is a Print Screen on your keyboard, or even what to do with it) and is not passing the keypress event to CoH, so CoH does not actually capture a screen. For the longest time, the Print Screen command on Apples has been Command (the key with the little cloverleaf symbol) + Shift + 3. As awkward as that sounds, you can press all 3 keys with your left hand at the same time.
Anyway, thats all theory - you could also try using the different methods of capturing a screen in OSX that are mentioned here:

EDIT: you could also try searching for files ending in .pict or .pct - PICTure files have been the standard for images on Macs since they came out.

Ok, I take back most of what I posted above - didn't even see the sticky at the top of the forum entitled "City of Heroes Mac Edition Guide (version 3)" (For some reason I kept thinking this was in general tech support, not the Mac specific forum :P )

Retrieving Screenshots and Demorecords
Screenshots and Demorecords are both stored in an unusual place in the native Mac client. It will take some practice to reach them, but as long as you're careful you can do so safely.
WARNING: Tampering with the files within the City of Heroes application may render it inoperable, requiring you to reinstall it from the DMG.
1. Right-click the City of Heroes application and select "Show Package Contents".
2. Open the Contents, then Resources, then transgaming, then c_drive, then either "coh" or "Program Files" and then "coh".
3. The screenshots are stored in the "screenshots" folder, the demorecords in "client_demos".
This also explains why all your searching has come up with nothing - the screenshots are effectively stored inside the CoH application, where the find file utility has absolutely no ability to go looking.

That last one looked much cooler in game. There were twice as many small bars pointing in all directions. Not sure why the screenshots look different than the in-game image. Weird. One of them even has no distorted images at all.

More to the point though, it seems somewhere along the line the files have been mixed up. I dont know much about the mac version but the only two suggestions I can make as to what I would do would be delete the pigg files and start again with installation, or try test server to see if it works fine there.

For what's it's worth, I had exactly the same issues once after logging in with i17.
I figured that something in my costume was "reflecting" the environment incorrectly. Instead of truly reflecting objects it, it just showed the complete object. And for me at least the parts were changing as I changed locations.
It disappeared after I deleted the Preference folder...but I would also try turning off "Environmental reflections" if you do have it enabled.

I really, really wish I could post screenshots.
Anyway my character's costumes are replaced with totally random objects or vanishing.
So, my fire/kin controller has no feet and arms at all she's just a flying torso and head with legs down to her knees only.
The best is my warshade who is only a head with no body at all.
My elec/elec brute is a random assortment of girders and steel beams looking a lot like one of those Katamari balls.
My fire/shield catgirl's head has been replaced with an enormous semi including the trailer. This is one of the really big non-mobile trucks easily three times as long as an office hallway is wide. It's just mounted to her shoulders where her head should be.
No idea what's going on or how to adjust it. Just started today, no OS patches on my end, no patches to the client.
Any suggestions? I'm visiting the tailor to see if that clears things up. Sadly, according to chat, no one else sees the glitches. If they did I'd be tempted to milk it for the comedy effect.
