So... is this going into the Arena and intentionally losing to someone so they get the badge, and then they do the same for you so you can get it?

Not sure if any of the recent patches has changed the way things worked, but:
Badges by level- Strawweight through Super Heavyweight: Just set the option
Arena Victor- Win any arena match
Arena Duelist- Set the match type to duel
Arena Survivalist- Set the match type to Free for all
Pentad Victor- You are suppose to have to have 1 of each AT (epics not included) on each team, however, this badge is bugged and you can get it by just facing off 1v1 against the same AT as you are playing. So a Blaster VS Blaster with the 'Pentad' setting will(was) awarding this badge.
Tournament Victor-This is the 'swiss draw' match. It is(was) very buggy. People who win are suppose to move on to further rounds while those who lose are elimated. However, people who won were not moving on and some people who lost ended up in the 'winners' bracket. The best way to force the badge is to have people quit out of the tournament. So if players A,B,C,D,E and F were to try to get the badge for A they start the Swiss Draw and in the 1st round everyone quits the tournament except A.

When Soldiers of Arachnos got their names added to the Destiny List, Longbow managed to get a copy of the list and began rounding villains up. But one name on the list shocked them...
Major is a trooper (the punz. they hurt). And apparently more apt at starting a match than I.
That system is mindboggling. I don't remember it being that flaky before the major changes? Least we got the pentad out of the way eventually. I'll have to coerce 6 more to help with the swiss and battle royal at some point :S

I can't believe how totally borked the Arena UI is. It is the most unintuitive piece of crap ever!
AND... ten minutes after I left the Arena (went to another zone to start running missions), the Arena was still spamming me with "the event does not exist."

I know full well this is a long shot for interest purposes, but I'll post here for the hell of it. I'm also aware that there might be buggy issues with pulling off a couple of the team-based matches.
If someone who's done these on a character already has some insight, I would love to hear it if there are any issues with set up / execution that might some how goof up the credit? Otherwise, I'll set up teams to accomodate the various team-based matches accordingly (so AT preference will have to be considered).
The Goal: Hammer out a couple of the arena badges that require multiple people to pull off. These aren't generally broadcasted for that I know of, so IMO are a little harder to obtain. The idea won't be to cheese the matches entirely, but to balance "fun", "effort", and "accomplishment" all around for those interested.
The how: No idea!
The when: Friday night, forming around 930PM EST. Hero and villain, AFAIK, can accomplish this at the same time? If not, we'll start with some hero rounds and then move on to villain side. I will be willing to switch out ATs to accomodate the requirements, and hopefully others will too. Remember, the construct won't be for you to get all the badges on whoever you switch to every time. Get it on the main one(s), and then help out everyone else get it on their main one(s).
How long: No idea! We'll shoot for an hour? And see how progress is going.
