depends on where you plan on PvPing. I would say if you're planning on pvping in freedom, with everyone else, you're probably better off with a fotm mind/fire dom or something of that matter. however if you're doing it on basically any other server where pvp isn't srs bsnz, it doesn't matter as much what you choose, so long as its pvp built. for instance, I can think of 2 people on triumph that pvp with their mind/ice doms that, while not topping the charts for leet damage, still are pretty viable. also, anything that isn't a warshade will pvp, okay, not great, but okay.
except for dahjee's sonic/sonic, that thing is crazy good.
Positron's i13 letter: We are trying to make PvP more accessible to new players, while giving experienced PvP'ers the advantage that comes with formulating tactics around the new systems we're putting in place. PvP from now on will be on our priority list. If something isn't working out, we'll be in there tweaking it and making it work, for the entire future of the product, not just Issue 13.

No, mind/ice is not really viable. Mind is great, but ice is a total joke now.
dang. Well, back to the drawing board... I play on Virtue, and I'd rather stay there just so I can transfer all kinds of inf to the new build.
I guess it is time to suck it up and roll a mind/fire. Thanks for the quick replies!
Virtus is probably the least bad of the other servers. You have at least a slight chance of running into other players in a PvP zone. It's an ok place to start, but you'll definitely want to move to Freedom if you start liking the PvP. Freedom vs other servers is kind of like the NBA vs random high school basketball teams.

Corrs are the best AT on vill side IMO so for primaries stick to rad, fire, or sonic. Good secondaries are therm, pain, and rad (rad and pain more for teams). IMO, doms are redundant when you have blasters in the game, but if you roll one go with Mind or grav and fire or elec. Or wait till GR comes out with elec controll i have a feeling it might be good paired with elec assault.
Id agree that mind/ice isnt what it used to be.
My own mind/ice used to rock, not so much anymore.
mind/fire if your starting a new toon.

been on hiatus for quite some time (since right after DB/WP came out), wondering if the Mind/Ice dom I was building for PVP is still a viable build, or if I should start something new? I would really like to jump back into PVP and I definitely prefer doms and corrupters to any other ATs, but I'm looking to duel mostly and would like the collective wisdom of the forum to let me know if those ATs are simply not viable, or what a couple of decent PVP Primary/Secondary combos in these ATs would look like. Thanks in advance!
