Nice, mothers day isn't until 30th may here in sweden tho 
Well seeing as how I've not bought my mom anything yet, I'm Swedish this month!!!
But seriously, I'm boycotting mothers day until there is a kids day! I demand equality, demmit!
Still, Happy and Loving Mother's Day to all the good moms out there!!
We had ours (Mothering Sunday) back in March. Seems in the UK it's roots go back to a pre-Christian festival celebrating the Roman goddess Cybele, which was then co-opted (like all the other pre-Christian stuff 
) by the early Christian church, and devoted to the Virgin Mary. Apparently your (USA) Mother's Day was conceived by a woman in West Virginia who pestered Woodrow Wilson until he made it a nationally recognised holiday.
Of course, this all comes from Wikipedia, so take with a substantial spoonful of the white stuff...

According to my Mom when we'd ask about that many, many years ago, every day is Kids day.

Nice! I only know of one other mother who bought her kid the original D&D box set, that kid is now my 45 year old Dungeon Master, to this day, (well the past 19 years)... sounds like you had a great mom PG!

On the subject, I got her an external hard drive because she does her business out of her home and kills computers, but was thinking of recommending her an offsite data storage service in case of emergency. Anybody know a good one?
My mom wouldn't have understood why I play MMOs..heck, she didn't like card or board games...
She just knew that my live action Rping involved lots of dressing up in Renfest type clothing, and making costumes...
She still tried to support my choice of hobbies, though.
