Making a demonic minotaur and I'm having trouble deciding between SR or WP. Any advice or experience? I'm somewhat of a min/maxer looking for a good secondary to keep me godlike in end game. Prince range for endgame IO is 300-700mil ish.

Ooooh, thats a tough one, SR is infamous for making min/maxers pretty much indestructible in the end, but its a rather rough ride to the top. You'll be wolfin' down LOTS of blue pills.

I like WP myself, AVs still need a team for me, but big mobs like /8 diff, I FEED on those. After lvl 23, you're pretty much inexhaustible, never need a blue ever again. Its all a matter of taste really.

I say try both to lvl 22, see which feels better.

I have a lvl 50 axe/wp that really enjoy playing. Axe and wp go very very well together....axe is a very end heavy set and wp helps you not worry about your blue bar. Also....axe's mitigation helps wp's regen to kick in. My build was close to a billion. I went for plus hp/regen and some defense. It probably cost more than it should have but the villian BM is still crazy. You can still make a very good build for about 500/600 million.
I love SR as well but your end management will be tough.
what you could do is make an axe/wp and a wm/sr...or visa versa. Wm is very similar to axe.
Here is my axe/wp build.

Hrmm, it's been hard to decide. I might try Axe/SR just to be odd.

Don't make your choice just to be odd or different.

SR & WP are both "Set it and forget it" sets.

Which is great for Axe, Warmace - as their redraw is particularly cumbersome.

I'd rather see you choose based on what you want to do with the character, or to make sure you are getting the play.

SR
  • Once softcapped, won't get hit often and will often feel unkillable. When you do get hit - it will hurt and you'll be slow to recover.
  • Will help your attack chain with Quickness.
  • End management will be a persistent concern and priority.

WP
  • Will get hit much more often, but will deal relatively well with most of those hits and you'll recover much faster being ready for the next fight almost instantly.
  • Will help you maintain a constant offense through Quick Recovery.
  • Sudden spike damage will be a concern, as it can sometimes overwhelm your regen capabilities. Cimerorans are the worst offenders.

Hope that helps.

Unless you are a Tru Warrir and never touch Inspirations, softcapping SR is not the optimal build choice for PvE (IMHO), especially by level 50. Maintain 2 columns of Defense Inspirations, use 1 at the start of each spawn and you can take on +0x8 difficulty, or even higher if you care to, with what amounts to a permanent supply of Defense Inspirations (they drop like rain). This lets you concentrate on other things like +Damage or HPs or Regen or any number of things. My MA/SR Scrapper has +40.5% Damage and 20ish% Regeneration, for example.
