I believe the build is decent. Defenses are high, but not at the cap. Heals seem decent as well. Endurance Ratio is well at 2.5 gain.

Overall I think I'm finally getting some of this stuff. BUT nothing like posting it up to be critiqued. So without further adieu.

First thought...why 5 Reactive Armors? For the AOE bonus? Why not Aegis? You lose .63% on Ranged/Melee Defense, but GAIN an additional 3.5% AOE Defense.

1.25% vs 4.69%

Now I don't know about the procs in pets. So I'm curious as to why you didn't use them.

Putting those +Resist/+Defense Procs in Hell on Earth seem teampting to me (but again I don't know MMs to well, though I am enjoying my DS/DM A LOT!).

There is only one reason to use Red Fortune: 5 slots for the recharge bonus. If you're doing 4 slots like you have in Hover, Maneuvers, and Scorpion Shield then you're shooting yourself in the foot pretty bad.

Compare at three copies each:
4 Serendipity:
12% Regeneration, 2.25% HP, 12% Accuracy

4 Luck of the Gambler:
30% Regeneration, 3.39% HP, 27% Accuracy

4 Gift of the Ancients:
6% Recovery, 7.5% Fire Resist, 5.4 bonus endurance,

4 Red Fortune:
6.6% Immobilize Resist, 3.72% Fire/Cold Resist, 6% Damage Bonus

And of that list, you went with Red Fortune? /em BOGGLE

If you're not going for the set bonuses, then just use the Def/End from each of those sets.

For Hell on Earth, use one of the Recharge-Intensive Pet Sets. You want the recharge. You really, really, really want the recharge.

It looks like you went with 5-slots of Miracle in your heals for the AoE defense, but I'd recommend Doctored Wounds. Save yourself about 150 million because Miracles are all about 10 million a pop, and the pure heals are 20+. Also the recharge bonus on Doctored Wounds is going to help you more than the AoE defense.

Hi guys im a level 50 Demon Summon/Pain and i'm wondering what you guys think would be better between Ghost Widow or Scorpion patron?

The extra defence seems nice but i think GW's choices look more fun :P

I was also thinking that DS/Pain looks to have lots of synergy, but I have never played a pain toon. Playing around with mids I came up with this.

I did the recommended changes and it's much better. I think the good thing is once people beat it up enough and it gets reworked, it ends up being somethings solid to work with for other builds as well.

Zmoosh, I think the 2nd build I posted with the tweaks given is a much better build then what you have listed. I believe it's much cheaper also.

World of pain recharge is a 3 second difference. yours is at 99 and mine is at 102. But my defense clearly outweighs your set.

Btw I never played pain myself. So I'm in a bit in the dark as well with it.

Well that is clearly a decision your gonna have to make. Defense or Looks.

I will be honest no one will be looking at your Ghost Widow shield effects. You will have too much going on with the other power effects and those big deamon's running around.

Though they will notice when your dead and not helping the team out.

Put the performance shifter proc and end mod in Stamina. The proc by itself is worth more than one end mod, and with two pieces of teh set you get a minor bonus to speed.

Yet more corrections and improvements as given by the player base.

When I could, I would also add in a +Recovery and +Regen in Health.

Painbringer - I have no clue about the slotting as you can see I went for the End recovery bonus. I don't know what the proper slotting for that is. If standard IO's are good enough I could possibly 5 slot something else for some set bonus improvement.

I thought I read that Blessing of Zephyr is going to get a stat change so I don't know how the defenses will change.

EDIT - Changed Painbringer from 4 slots to 2 slots and placed Recharge Redux in it. I then 5 slotted Scorpion Shield and Maneuvers with Red Fortune for the recharge time bonus. End results I did take a hit in Endurance regen and lost some Fire Defense. Overall my Defenses SLIGHTLY increased ( By tenths of a point in some places ). But powers like Hell on Earth dropped down 9 seconds in recharge from 235 to 226 and World of Pain dropped down to 98 seconds from 102. The duration on World of Pain is 90 seconds.

You might want to lose Fly mate, its probably the worst travel power a MM can have. You want to stay close to your pets at all times so they can keep "bodyguard" on you.
