Cannot Purchase a Super Booster Pack :(

Hi guys, I resubbed to the game yesterday after a few years break. After re-subbing, I purchased the science booster pack to allow me to make costumes of different sizes

later after that I tried to purchase the Martial arts pack to make a themed character along those lines, but it won't let me purchase the pack

the error message it gives me is: "We're sorry, but we are unable to accept your order at this time. Please try again later or tomorrow. If you continue to have problems, you may wish to visit one of our retail partners"

it has been saying it for over a day now and I don't want to start my new toon without the costume or run animation


does anyone know why it is doing this?

It's a busy shop with orders to process and I assume they don't want to have lag errors ruining peoples purchases. Just have to wait in line like the rest of us.

so how long am I supposed to wait? it says nothing about it besides try later. which I've been doing for over a day

I had no problems buying my first pack

I believe it is 24 hours. It's tied to your credit card, so if you have access to another, that could be worth a try. If it's been more than 24 hours, you should probably contact NCSoft support

ya it's been more than 24 hours, and I tried 3 cards


I also e-mailed them last night but no reply yet so I thought I would just ask here incase it was something I could fix myself

The above answer would have been correct, if there were some reason for everyone to be rushing to the NC store today, like a nw booster. But there isn't, so it's not.

There are two purchase limits on the NC store. One is set by them, one by you. The one set by them prevents you from going over a certain amount per day in purchases, to protect themselves from fraud. It's on a 24 hour timer, so if you've been waiting over a day, it should release soon.

The other is set by you. I've never run into it, so I don't know where to find it, or what the default value is. It's there so that Mommy can set a limit on how much Junior can spend per month, so that he doesn't go into the in-game store and max out his slots on every server, and then move 100 characters to new homes. You should be able to locate it somewhere in your NCSoft master account. Either increase the amount, or wait for its timer to run out. Or pay with a different card than the one on file, or use PayPal.

EDIT: You and Icelock both posted while I was typing. It's almost guaranteed to be your monthly limit.

RE-EDIT: I just checked my Master Account. I couldn't figure out how to change the amount (possibly because I'm on a phone), but if you log in at http://plaync.com and go to Billing Summary, it will show your 30-day limit, and how much you've used.

this account hasnt been used in years so I don't think it's my monthly limit

I purchased a subscription, name change and a booser pack

but that didn't cost me much at all so I'm not sure why that would lock me out


edit: I read that there is a 100$ monthly limit, but I have spent about 40$ at the most on what I bought, so I'm not sure why that could be the problem if it is

Again, there is also the daily limit, set by the company. It won't allow you to make several purchases in the same day, and I think that each time that you try again, it resets the 24-hour clock on that, but I could be wrong on that part.

Wait 24 hours from now, then try to make another purchase. If that doesn't work, then contact NCSoft support.

oh I didn't know it could reset the clock

that's a silly idea, but I guess I'll wait a day before I try =]

Yeah, I'm not quite sure on that, but it's worth a try. I know the system was created to try to prevent fraud against the company, but I'm not 100% sure of the specifics, since I've never run against the limitations, myself.
