Oil paint takes a LOOONG time to dry. It looks fantastic, and I'm sure that the picture isn't as good as seeing it in person. I've enjoyed seeing this in its various stages. Thank you for sharing Comrade. Now let's celebrate with some vodka!

Update as of May 15, 2010.
Sculpture by Shannon Brocas, Painting by Vern Brocas.
Vern has applied several coats of oil based paint to the baked sculpture of Comrade Hero, and it's still drying! Protective coat will eventually be added and a plaque.
