I want to add that the sr is gimp stuff gets pretty old, defense as it was was op. Anyone who doesn't want to admit it is living in a dream world. A well built sr can pretty much run around zones as it sees fit because defense does work, in particular if built and played properly.

People who had significant problems in i13 with defense were people without solid Global Accuracy in their build. Some people built for rech+, some for HP+, some for dmg+, some for Global Acc+, some for KB prot, etc. If many people did not end up with solid global acc+ and did not have to hit or +acc abilities in their build, they asked Devs for help. This is an old subject. Those of us who had and used defense-based toons and PvP'd a whole lot with them during that time, and loss their share of matches, know all too well that in i13 Resists was still > defense when the toons had solid global acc+ in their build.

I agree that elusivity needs to be revisited.

Having said all that, SR would be my choice if I did not go with Regen. Then again, if I wanted a defense based toon, I would just roll a VEAT now.

Repeat Offenders forever !

Make all IO's available in Paragon Market! NCSoft, the chinese are making BIG money selling influence and other stuff in the game. Best way to stop them = make the paragon market a place to buy all IO's and perhaps other things as well.

In i13 defense was king, and it wasn't even close. I played a widow and a ss fire brute alot around this time. The widow was an unkillable beast, the brute was good thanks to the higher damage at the time but its level of survivability was not anywhere near that of the widow. I know alot of people are not big fans of the elusivity changes but in all fairness right now its actually about where it needs to be. Ther are a few tweaks that defense could use but an elusvity buff is not needed.

A few of the tweaks they need to look into is banes getting elusvity added as well as force fields. And perhaps adding some more defense debuff res to certain sets in pvp. Other than that to much more buffing and we end up with i13ish pvp again with defense being a bit too good.

Duel me.
I will work on my sig pic more when I have time.

Yep, my nin stalker could solo full teams because he was pretty much unhittable. My DM/SR scrapper was a beast, even though DM sucked just as much as now....just because he basically could not possibly die. My widow was also godlike.

When fighting anything defense based, you could basically just blindly spam all your attacks and pray for luck. And you needed amazing luck to kill anything, since landing 3-4 attacks in a row was almost impossible. Yeah, it was stupid. For that issue, the game was at its absolute worst, imo.

I do think we need more elusivity. Not what we had before, but more than 5%. Then again, the whole game is so messed up at this point with the 2 billion "PvP entry fee", I doubt anything short of a complete market/drops redesign will accomplish anything.

Yeah, no not really. You don't have nearly enough ranged or melee defense. You need to shoot for 55-60 (where Im comfortable) before DR. You can go higher, but at that point I just dont even bother.

You also have way to many capped set bonuses and aren't utilizing the sets.

Edit: Also, Power choices? I know this is about secondaries, but Dude, no. Bad. Get CI, TS atleast. Teleport foe? You need to get some better recovery as well.

Need more range defense even if it get DR'd down it will help a ton, I would say there's no need for taunt if you have web nades but that's a preference thing. For my SR scrapper I went with SS/Phase/SJ/Tough picked up Body mastery for CP, LBE, and PP. If you slot physical perfection right you can skip fitness especially if you have the uniques.

You can also skipped dodge, lucky, and evasion to fit tough/weave in. Reason for tough is SR can only do so much, when stuff start hitting 27% resist can help alot. Reason for weave is 5% defense to all sound alot better then 8% defense to just melee. In the end the build had 44% defense to melee, 80% defense to range 60% recharge,(not DR'd down) only downside is the lack of acc still tweaking it to get it better. That's just another way to go about building that Elec/SR.

Oh why do you have TP foe? o.O plan on doing some dronning?

TP foe was actually just to be lazy. I wanted to fit in some other kind of power w/out losing targeting drone and it just seemed like it'd be convenient to not have to chase people across the map.
