Signature Task Force Marathon
I suspect that people would need to change to different toons at some point.
A lvl 15 toon could make it to 20 by the end of Positron (if you killed everything) and maybe to 25 by the end of Synapse and Sister Psyche, but to get to the minimum of 35 for Numinia (not to mention that they will spawn all baddies at lvl 40) would seem pretty tough to do, so people should plan accordingly.
One good lvl 15 toon and a well built toon about lvl 37 should be able to hack it.
I'll definetly try and make some of these.
I'll try to get in on this too but Friday is also the day that movie that starts with Kick and ends in a word the forums will block (:P) comes out so lots of people might be there

Count me in, I should be able to make both days.
Thank you for hosting the event!!
It is great to see Liberty coming to life again.
I have posted the event on Sisterhood's Upcoming Events calendar.
I have to work Friday evening, but if late-comers can get in on Saturday, I'm your huckleberry!
It had been a while since AWOL had sponsored one of these and since my wife was going out of town on Saturday, I thought I would try it again. I wanted to start on Saturday but the wife only gave me Friday evening and all day on Saturday to play "on the computer" (during the times she is gone).
Just wanted to remind everyone that can come about this event.
Not sure what is going on here at home over the weekend... But certainly if I can get online to participate I'd be more than happy to assist...
Thanks Matt for taking time to organize this for us!
I should be there for this, at least a lot of it. I really need to run Sister Synapse before Sunday!
I'd love to get a spot for my AR/Dev Blaster on Positron Friday night. Positron is the last TF this character needs for the TF Commander Accolade, and this may very well be my last chance to do the "old school" Positron, prior to i17 release.

I am going to take a page from the Sisterhood and see who showes up and get team leaders to form their own team as they want. I would even take a villian if it was possible.
I am also thinking of what has been said in the other threads about mixing up the SGs around. I should have the three currently active members on for this and would like for them to be part of tthe other teams so its not just an AWOL, Sisterhood, or Dreamweaver, etc teams.
I have run Positron 3 times in the past couple of weeks so I am game to lead a team if you want me to.
I'll be in for a few runs Friday and Saturday... been wanting to get TFC on my new tank but have been avoiding the TF's as I've not had the time (or confidence in the toon... lol)
But, guess there is no good time... ummmm I mean, sounds like a good time

The team took a vote at the beginning and the majority voted for xp, not speed. The stealthers determined the most direct point to objectives and we fought everything in our way.
Thanks everyone for a fun TF!

AWOL wishes to thank everyone who joined us. We could not have done this without your support.
Too bad I had to miss this.

We had several that liked that idea so we will incorporate that into any TFs that AWOL runs from now on (unless they are desginated speed runs).
Thanks for letting me tag along and work on tanking skills...
Had a blast and thankfully Cow Killer Wasp was there for the higher lvl TF's... those went a little too fast for me to have tanked those effectively...
Thanks again for the invite!... Had a blast and got through all 6 TF's for the TFC!
Too bad I had to miss this.
I like that method, scout but don't stealth. |

I got to do 4 of these and they were great fun.
I also like the scout but not ghost method. One of the teams I was on, we voted and stealthers won mainly because the people who would have benefited from the XP said they didn't care one way or the other.
I certainly understand why level 50's exempted down prefer ghosting (the whole time/merit calculation) and people who are short on time would also prefer it, but I don't understand why someone who is still earning XP would.
Teams of 7 or 8 are harder to set at the moment and the chance to be on a team that is going to see plenty of combat, get merits and get a badge seems like a pretty good deal to me. But if the people that would benefit from the XP won't vote for it, they doesn't seem to be much reason to argue against the ghosters.
I use this method for my NSTF events and it seems a fair compromise to me. I also tell everyone before we start exactly what the deal is so they can decide if that works for them. I would rather have a smaller team then one where people aren't having a good time or feel frustrated by the style of game play that is being pursued.

I am not a SPEED player by any means... I don't have the computer for it and RL situations, especially after an hour of so of game time are more important to me. I for one usually wont 'sign up' for a speed run of any type knowing that I would slow the team down and really not my style of game play... But going at a good pace and keeping focused on the objective while knowing RL situations will surface and many players want the enjoyment of playing the game as it is and not the 'numbers' game of risk/reward/merit/time... not that I dislike getting better stuff at a quicker pace...
I'd rather have time to chat with my team-mates and get to know the players and other play styles... But ghosting some 'objective' missions helps with time for RL... not trying to beat the clock for me.
What is this? The goody-two-shoes section of the forum?
Flexibilty is a must. On the NSTF Sister Psyche I ran, one of the players was getting ready to have dinner with her family so we ghosted the next to last two missions. RL is always more important.
Besides as long as everyone is enjoying themselves, there is no problem either way.
I really started the NSTF thing because my sister was just getting into the game and was on a ghosted TF and it kinda soured her on TFs because she was really just there as padding and had no idea what was happening. Some missions completed before she even really knew what was supposed to be done. She got the badge, but she didn't enjoy the TF.
That's a shame, because they really are pretty much the kind of stories you read in comics.
Ideally, they really aren't meant to be run in one sitting. The idea is that your SG or friends agree to get togther over a couple of sessions. Of, course I don't think anyone ever does that.
My first ITF, the last thing I said before we logged was "don't quit the task force and we will pick it up next week." Of course one my RL friends/players did that for no reason that he could explain. He didn't even play the toon!
All Coalies, and heroes at large,
AWOL is going to have a Signature TF marathon beginning at 8 pm Eastern on Friday April 16th. We will start with Posi in Steel Canyon and (if time permits) also run Synapse shortly thereafter. We will finish the Task Force Marathon on Saturday April 17 starting at Noon Eastern with Sister (or Synapse if it wasn't started/finished). As with the previous TF weekends that we have done in the past, there may be large groups for the first few TFs. These can be speed runs but are not required.
AWOL Agents, please check our forums for additional information. http://www.agentswatchingoverliberty....php?f=11&t=25
