Suppressive Fire is a ranged, single target control. Do you ever want to mez a pesky Lt. or minion?

Suppressive Fire has a decently quick animation and will lock an enemy down. If you want a control power, Suppressive Fire is a great choice.

Of course, at level 32 I'd take Hail of Bullets.

Why Blasters? Empathy Sucks.
So, you want to be Mental?
What the hell? Let's buff defenders.
Tactics are for those who do not have a big enough hammer. Wisdom is knowing how big your hammer is.

I took Suppresive Fire at 26, and enjoy it. I also took Stun from /Nrg to stack with it. I probably don't use it as much as I thought I would, but there have been instances where I've been immensely grateful that I have both to use on a target.

Yeah, my Pistols/Devices blaster is seriously considering taking tazer to stack with standard ammo Supressive Shot. Since I am devices, I'm planning on (with IO's) 3 disorient and 3 Hold enhancements. Might take/slot Tactics too.

While solo, definitely make use of your mitigation powers. There is a dramatic difference on my Blasters when I just try to kill everything quickly, and when I take a couple of seconds to take the lieutenant out of the fight and drop everything else quickly. My health doesn't get dinged so much, etc. Even with good defense numbers, it's wise to use them.

Yeah, especially LT's that love to mez.

It's worth mentioning, Hold and stun procs roll to fire despite the kind of ammo you are using(Lockdown chance for +2 mag hold will fire with standard ammo).
If you're planning to enhance both Stun and Hold, HO's are best; The Acc/Mez will enhance both Stun and Hold.

Problem with that advice is.... In five years of playing I've NEVER joined a hammi raid. Thus I've never gotten any HO enhancements.

I've never been on a hammi raid either, but fortunately Wentworths has quite a few of them for sale. Also you get synthetics from the Statesman Taskforce. And Wentworths has those for sale too. Amazing how that works out.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

Yeah, the STF. Done it eight times. Failed it eight times. Although I never really looked on the AH for hammi's. I'd always figured anyone farming for them is gonna use them.

They are there... some of them are a bit spendy, though.

Surprised you haven't had luck with the STF, though. What server are you on? I hear plenty of them running on Victory and have joined a fair amount, too. There are a few guides to running it out there, too. Read up on them and make sure your team will be up to snuff, and you should be fine. It's no Citadel TF, of course, but you should be able to do well on it with a lot of team setups.

Umm....sorry, when you said you had a DP question, I thought you meant something else....

You don't need to join a Hami Raid to get a HO - if you're dirt poor, just finish a STF or LRSF, and if you have a few million inf to throw around, the acc/mez HOs on the market are cheaper and more available than you'd think, as long as you have a little patience.

Rule number six of an empathy defender is NEVER underestimate a blaster's ability to die. I don't care if he has CM, Fort, both RAs, bubbles (both FF and Sonic), and is fighting next to a Storm defender with hurricane on. If there is a way to die in that situation, the blaster will find it.
